Senior Category Manager – Technology Procurement

Description

The Senior Category Manager – Technology Procurement will be instrumental in developing the global sourcing plan and promoting enterprise-wide value generation. This role presents a remarkable opportunity to lead key initiatives and work alongside senior business leaders across various territories.

The position requires defining and owning global strategy across technology spend, including SaaS, cloud, infrastructure, and IT services. It involves establishing multi-year sourcing roadmaps aligned with technology roadmaps, product and engineering priorities, and financial targets. The role also entails managing complex, high-value, enterprise-wide negotiations, formulating commercial models for SaaS licensing, cloud consumption/pricing, and multi-year contracts, while structuring agreements to optimise cost, flexibility, and risk. The manager will own the global supplier landscape and strategy, establishing supplier segmentation and partnership models, and leading executive-level vendor engagements. They will partner directly with senior leadership across CTO/Engineering, Product, Finance, Legal, and Security teams, serving as a trusted advisor on build vs buy decisions, vendor selection, and commercial risk and trade-offs. The role involves using analytics and AI tools to leverage spend and usage data, driving cost efficiency, improving contract outcomes, and identifying strategic opportunities.
