Description

The company is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Lead Technical Artist to join its technical art team. This role is ideal for a technical expert who thrives at the intersection of art and technology and is passionate about delivering visually compelling and technically robust game experiences.

This individual will serve as a key subject matter expert for technical art implementation, drive improvements to pipelines and workflows, and partner closely with artists, designers, and engineers to ensure high-quality game delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary technical art expert for complex and business-critical implementation challenges across multiple game projects.
  • Drive technical solutions that achieve high visual fidelity while balancing performance and platform constraints.
  • Act as the technical authority for Unity-based asset implementation, integration, and optimization.
  • Collaborate with engineers to resolve complex rendering, animation, UI, and performance-related challenges.
  • Drive improvements to asset implementation pipelines, workflows, and automation solutions.
  • Identify recurring production bottlenecks and develop scalable technical solutions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain tools, scripts, and workflow enhancements that improve team productivity and quality.
  • Establish and maintain technical standards for asset integration, optimization, and implementation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex visual and technical issues throughout development and testing.
  • Partner with multiple game teams to promote best practices and consistent implementation standards.
  • Mentor Technical Artists and Lead Technical Artists through technical guidance, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Contribute to documentation and continuous improvement of technical art processes.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience as a Technical Artist in game development or a related field (required).
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Photoshop (required).
  • Strong working knowledge of Unity, including asset integration, animation workflows, particle systems, prefabs, debugging, and optimization techniques (required).
  • Experience implementing and troubleshooting complex visual features within Unity (required).
  • Strong understanding of game content pipelines, asset optimization, and implementation workflows (required).
  • Experience developing tools, scripts, or automation solutions using C#, Python, JavaScript, or similar technologies (required).
  • Familiarity with shaders, materials, rendering pipelines, and real-time performance optimization (required).
  • Experience with version control systems such as Perforce or GitHub and project management tools such as JIRA (required).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex production issues (required).
  • Ability to mentor team members and provide technical guidance across projects (required).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills (required).
  • Experience in slot, casual, or mobile game development (preferred).
