Sr Technical Artist I
Aristocrat is looking for a skilled Technical Artist to join the Art and Graphics team for an exciting new project. The role focuses on optimising character animations and visual effects while troubleshooting technical issues to enhance workflow and output quality.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing artwork that adheres to the technical constraints of game engines and platforms to ensure optimal performance. This position requires a professional who is passionate about gaming and eager to push creative boundaries within a collaborative, multi-disciplined environment.
- Develop/Update artwork and animation for digital gaming projects.
- Focus on Content implementation pipeline.
- Ensure relevant processes regarding asset management, file organization, output configuration are clearly and correctly executed.
- Schedule and manage time efficiently – work with agile development leaders to plan work.
- Deliver assets on time to specification with a thorough and complete attention to detail.
- Responsible for having peer reviews to check work for accuracy and quality.
- Game Documentation as per business need.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplined teams to achieve the highest quality games possible.
- Follow guidelines set by management to manage / develop art assets to support business.
- Bring in ideas/innovations to improve the overall testing process in terms of tools, processes etc.
- Work collaboratively with Global team/studio Leads for status updates, guidance and working as one team to deliver defined goals.
- Participation in after business hours calls as per business need.
- Create visually appealing assets that meet project briefs while exploring innovative concepts and providing multiple design variations.
- Develop and implement artwork that adheres to the technical constraints of the game engines and platforms, ensuring optimal performance.
- Uphold high standards of quality and accuracy in all technical art processes, ensuring consistency across projects.
- Continuously develop technical skills related to your discipline and software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and other relevant tools.
- Collaborate closely with team members and stakeholders to clarify technical requirements and provide regular updates on project progress.
- Manage and document files, assets, and workflows to streamline accessibility and usability for the team.
- Follow the established asset pipeline, focusing on optimizing models, textures, and animations for performance in various game environments.
- Keep up to date with advancements in the gaming industry, multi-platform development, and relevant technical practices.
- Work closely with artists, developers, and studio leads, providing technical support and guidance to achieve project goals.
- Proficiency in software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and other relevant tools (required)
