Technical Delivery Manager - Data
Aristocrat is seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Manager - Data to join its dynamic team. This role is essential for ensuring that complex technical initiatives are delivered successfully and without issues. The position involves collaborating with various departments to manage high-impact projects and influence the company's latest technology solutions.
The Technical Delivery Manager - Data will lead the full lifecycle delivery of complex technical initiatives across the technology portfolio. The role requires owning project planning, execution, and tracking while ensuring alignment with business priorities. The individual will coordinate across multiple engineering groups to drive delivery excellence and continuous improvement of processes.
- Lead the full lifecycle delivery of complex technical initiatives across the Technology portfolio.
- Own project planning, execution, tracking, and delivery while ensuring alignment with business priorities.
- Build and maintain detailed delivery plans, achievements, RAID logs, and dependency maps across several engineering groups.
- Partner closely with Managers, Architects, Product Managers, Data, and Engineering teams to coordinate successful execution.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and release planning where required.
- Manage cross-team dependencies and proactively identify delivery risks, blockers, and mitigation strategies.
- Translate business objectives into actionable technical workstreams alongside engineering and build groups.
- Coordinate releases across multiple teams, ensuring technical readiness and successful production deployments.
- Track project health through delivery metrics, achievements, and benchmarks, providing regular status reporting to leadership and steering committees.
- Drive continuous improvement of delivery processes, governance, estimation practices, and Agile ways of working.
- Support resource planning, capacity management, and prioritization across concurrent initiatives.
- Ensure delivery aligns with security, compliance, governance, and operational requirements.
- Develop collaboration across geographically distributed engineering teams while promoting accountability and delivery excellence.
- A demonstrated ability leading technical software delivery, engineering programs, or enterprise technology projects (required).
- Proven experience delivering complex, cross-functional technology initiatives involving multiple engineering teams (required).
- Strong understanding of modern software development lifecycles, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices (required).
- Experience collaborating closely with software engineering, cloud platforms, data engineering, and architecture teams (required).
- Ability to understand technical concepts and effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical collaborators (required).
- Demonstrated success managing technical dependencies, delivery risks, release planning, and collaborator expectations (required).
- Strong organizational and planning skills with experience managing multiple concurrent initiatives (required).
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and executive reporting skills (required).
- Experience with Agile delivery tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar (required).
- Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools including Smartsheet, Monday.com, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite (required).
- Experience working in cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data platform initiatives (preferred).
- Experience within regulated industries or enterprises in SaaS environments (nice-to-have).
- Delivery of enterprise technology platforms, SaaS platforms, or software engineering solutions (required).
- Experience coordinating large-scale platform migrations or modernization initiatives (required).
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, release management, and software deployment practices (required).
- Knowledge of IT governance, security, and compliance principles (required).
- Experience working within globally distributed engineering organizations (required).
