Technical Lead - AI Specialist / Automation Engineer

Description

Aristocrat is seeking an innovative and highly autonomous AI Specialist / Automation Engineer to design, build, and deploy custom AI-driven tools, agents, and internal workflows. In this role, the individual will act as a force multiplier for the engineering, creative, and quality assurance teams. Instead of using off-the-shelf software, the role will leverage LLMs, vector databases, and automation frameworks to build bespoke platforms that eliminate friction, automate content pipelines, and accelerate software delivery.

The successful candidate will partner directly with Dev, Creative, and QA leads to identify operational bottlenecks and engineer tailored AI solutions. This includes designing and prioritising bespoke graphics tools to capture and multiply art assets, building internal AI applications, custom web portals, and Slack/Teams bots, and designing end-to-end automated pipelines that connect disparate software systems using orchestration frameworks. The role also involves developing, evaluating, and optimising complex system prompts and agentic workflows to ensure high-quality, deterministic outputs, as well as monitoring tool performance, managing API cost optimisation, mitigating model hallucination, and ensuring strict data privacy and security compliance.

Domain-specific impact areas include building tools for Dev & Math Teams to automate repetitive tasks like summarising technical documentation, generating boilerplate code, and AI-assisted code reviews, as well as developing specialised AI tools that utilise data exported via Excel to assist with complex math tooling and game balancing. For Creative Teams, the role involves building asset-generation pipelines, automated game rules generation, and tools to generate themes that help Artists/Animators scale content securely. For QA Teams, the role includes building agents that instantly parse acceptance criteria to generate comprehensive test cases, automate synthetic test data generation, generate submission documents, and categorise bug reports.

Responsibilities
  • Partner directly with Dev, Creative, and QA leads to identify operational bottlenecks and engineer tailored AI solutions.
  • Design and prioritise bespoke graphics tools tailor-made to capture and multiply both static and animated art assets, ensuring they strictly match the studio's unique art style.
  • Build, test, and deploy internal AI applications, custom web portals, and Slack/Teams bots utilising modern LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source models).
  • Design end-to-end automated pipelines that connect disparate software systems (e.g., Jira, GitHub, CMS) using orchestration frameworks.
  • Develop, evaluate, and optimise complex system prompts and agentic workflows to ensure high-quality, deterministic outputs.
  • Monitor tool performance, manage API cost optimisation, mitigate model hallucination, and ensure strict data privacy and security compliance.
  • Build tools that automate repetitive tasks like summarising technical documentation, generating boilerplate code, and AI-assisted code reviews.
  • Develop specialised AI tools that utilise data exported via Excel to assist with complex math tooling and game balancing.
  • Build asset-generation pipelines, automated game rules generation, and tools to generate themes that help Artists/Animators scale content securely.
  • Build agents that instantly parse acceptance criteria to generate comprehensive test cases, automate synthetic test data generation, generate submission documents, and categorise bug reports.
Requirements
  • 5+ years in software engineering (required)
  • 1.5+ years of hands-on experience building production-grade AI/LLM applications (required)
  • Strong experience working extensively with art and animation pipelines (preferred)
  • Mastery of Python or TypeScript/Node.js (required)
  • Deep familiarity with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Claude), orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, or LangGraph), and Vector Databases (required)
  • Proven track record of working with REST APIs, webhooks, and SDKs for developer tools (GitHub, Jira), creative platforms (Figma, Adobe), and communication hubs (Slack, Teams) (required)
  • Ability to interview internal users (Devs, Designers, QA), translate their pain points into technical requirements, and build intuitive UX/UI (required)
  • Comfortable working in a rapidly shifting AI landscape, evaluating new frameworks, and picking the right tool for the job (required)
  • Computer Science Education (B.Tech/BE/MCA) (required)
Benefits
  • Robust benefits package
  • Global career opportunities
