Engineering Lead - Java
As an Engineering Lead in Matchday and as part of the Sports domain, the individual will be at the forefront of managing technical aspects and setting the pace, leading by example throughout their team's endeavors. They will lead a group of engineers, providing clear guidance to help them achieve exceptional results. Their hands-on engineering experience will be an integral part of their leadership style, as they actively contribute as a team member.
They will work closely with their local Product Owner to ensure successful delivery of the product backlog across the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), with a strong focus on delivering a customer experience that can be be proud of, setting a high standard for excellence.
- Lead the team, ensuring they achieve their goals and outcomes effectively.
- Actively participate in team delivery, ensuring you are driving the work to completion.
- Collaborate with our Product Owner throughout the delivery lifecycle to deliver our product backlog.
- Promote and uphold high-quality software engineering practices within your team and work with the organization to continuously improve ways of working.

- Balance technical and people skills: Leverage your skills and experience to balance technical, people, process, and delivery aspects.

- Help to build a culture of teamwork across the Sports domain that supports the efficient delivery of value to our customers.
- Background in backend software development using technologies like Java, Spring Boot, AWS, GraphQL, Kafka, Docker and Kubernetes (preferred).
