Information Security Analyst, Vulnerability Management
As an Information Security Analyst in the vulnerability management team, the role ensures IT systems operate in a secure manner in line with regulatory requirements.
The role involves monitoring the live operation around the clock, spotting anomalies, and managing vulnerability scanning across all endpoints. The analyst will assess risk, plan specialist testing, and help the business understand the urgency of patching. Collaboration with governance teams to maintain compliance is also a key aspect of this position. This role is eligible for inclusion in the company's hybrid working from home policy.
- Running vulnerability scans using industry-leading tools.
- Scheduling scanning across the Business to minimise operational impact.
- Explaining Business risk to technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Coordinating internal and external resources to meet targets.
- Embedding security requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Liaising with the Business to ensure we meet all security requirements.
- Acting as an escalation point for security queries.
- Creating clear and accurate technical documentation.
- Monitoring emerging threats and escalate findings to the relevant teams.
- Supporting internal and external audits.
- Strong understanding of information and cyber security principles (required).
- Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning tools and risk assessment (required).
- Proven ability to explain technical risk to non-technical teams (required).
- Experience with security-related technical investigations (required).
- Working knowledge of industry-standard security practices (required).
- Awareness of the current Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) version (required).
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills (required).
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines (required).
