Payroll Officer, Colombian Payroll
Due to continued global expansion, a proactive and detail-oriented Payroll Officer is sought to join the dynamic Payroll team. This is a hands-on role where the successful candidate will play a pivotal part in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of global payroll operations.
As a Payroll Officer, the individual will be an integral member of the Payroll department. Working closely with the Payroll Manager and the wider team, the role involves a hands-on approach to the end-to-end preparation and execution of global payrolls. This position is suited for a dedicated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.
- Leading a small team of payroll administrators and overseeing the daily running of the Payroll department to ensure all outputs are delivered within strict deadlines.
- Acting as the first point of contact for payroll queries.
- Responding to internal and external queries in a timely and effective manner.
- Accurately entering and checking weekly payroll reports.
- Preparing payroll data for submission.
- Monitoring and continuing to improve the payroll processes.
- Continuously training and developing junior members of the team.
- Staying current with payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proven experience in payroll processing (required).
- Experience with Colombian payrolls (required).
- Demonstrated ability of leading a team (required).
- Meticulous and organised, with excellent time management and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail (required).
- Strong command English language communication skills (required).
- Experience handling confidential information (required).
- Excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook (required).
- Familiarity across global payroll locations and shadow payroll (nice-to-have).
