Technical Lead, Risk & Regulatory
Bet365 is seeking a Technical Lead to spearhead the ground-up re-architecture of its core platforms, transforming complex challenges into elegant, high-performance solutions. The Risk & Regulatory department is responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting business-critical platforms.
This full-stack team is currently undertaking a ground-up re-architecture into Golang, React, and Cloud platforms, utilising Kafka, SQL, .Net, and TypeScript. The role drives the development and implementation of robust regulatory systems, ensuring the highest quality standards for software products. Technical leadership empowers a talented group of developers to innovate and excel in delivering reliable solutions, while fostering a collaborative environment.
- Apply active governance around overall solution design, code quality, and coding standards.
- Drive the provision of scalable, maintainable, and performant systems.
- Act as a point of escalation for the team both in and out of office hours.
- Monitor the team’s adherence and output.
- Ensure solutions meet the needs of the business.
- Manage work estimation and produce solution documents.
- Understand the technical structure, domain, and architecture of the systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including managers and Architects, to create fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Oversee technical solutions from development to live at a low level.
- Facilitate knowledge and mentor team members.
- Commercial experience leading development solutions (required)
- Knowledge of Kafka, SQL, .Net, Golang or TypeScript (required)
- Effective mentoring and coaching of team members (required)
- Technical documentation skills (required)
- Proven track record in high availability, multi-browser compatible development (required)
- Experience working with high availability, multiuser, service-based systems (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant discipline (required)
