Accounting Team Lead
Kaizen Gaming is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and proactive Accounting Team Lead to lead cross-functional teams in executing high-value accounting tasks. Based in Athens, Greece, and reporting to the Finance Operations Manager, the ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounting principles and experience in supporting day-to-day financial operations.
This role is crucial in ensuring accurate financial records and contributing to the overall financial health of the company.
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the HQ.
- Analyze and evaluate monthly financial results to ensure timely and accurate reporting according to the Group policies.
- Coordinate the annual financial audit, preparing all information needed, and oversee the whole process.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, including auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders, including tax, accounts payable and treasury teams.
- Deliver ad hoc requests and participate in special projects when requested.
- Support and optimize the existing ERP system, gathering and processing data to generate comprehensive financial reports.
- Provide leadership with timely and accurate updates on assigned tasks, financial results, and any relevant issues.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or other relevant field of Finance (required)
- A Master's degree in accounting or finance or ACCA/ACA qualification will be considered as a plus (nice-to-have)
- 6+ years of combined financial reporting/accounting within a corporate international environment (required)
- At least 1 year in a team lead or supervisory role (required)
- Proven experience in people management: setting objectives, conducting performance reviews, and developing team members (required)
- Experience with formal audit processes (required)
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office and particularly Excel (required)
- Good knowledge of IFRS standards (required)
- Previous experience in Microsoft Business Central will be considered as an asset (nice-to-have)
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented and proven ability to manage new ideas and creative solutions (required)
- Fluency in English (both oral and written) (required)
- Strong organizational, planning, quantitative and problem-solving skills (required)
