Platform DevOps Lead - Infra
As the Platform DevOps Lead, you will lead our Platform DevOps Engineers responsible for designing, building, and operating the core platform services that power our applications and customer experiences. The team owns critical edge technologies including CDN, DNS, WAF, edge compute, identity integrations, and IIS-based workloads, ensuring they are secure, highly available, observable, and scalable.
You will be setting engineering standards, driving automation and cloud adoption, and ensuring the team delivers reliable platform capabilities through Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and DevOps best practices. Working closely with architecture, security, infrastructure, and development teams, you will help shape the platform strategy on a global scale.
- Provide technical leadership – Define best practices for cloud platforms, automation, Infrastructure as Code, and platform reliability.
- Drive delivery and improvement – Manage technical improvements and ensure reliable delivery of platform capabilities.
- Own platform operations – Ensure critical platform services are reliable, scalable, and continuously improved to support business and engineering needs.
- Champion automation and DevOps practices – Promote Terraform, Ansible, GitOps, and CI/CD practices to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Ensure reliability and security – Drive observability, incident management, security practices, and platform governance.
- Collaborate across teams – Work with engineering, security, architecture, and business teams to align platform solutions with organisational goals.
- Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams (required).
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, automation, and DevOps practices (required).
- Experience with AWS edge services such as CloudFront, Route 53, Lambda@Edge, WAF, and CDN technologies (required).
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform (required).
- Experience building and running reliable, secure, and scalable platforms (required).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across teams (required).
- Experience with monitoring, observability, and improving platform reliability (nice-to-have).
- Experience with Kubernetes (nice-to-have).
- Familiarity with Agile and ITIL practices (nice-to-have).
