Senior HR Generalist
Betsson Group is seeking an experienced Senior HR Generalist to join the team on a fixed-term contract covering maternity leave at the Estonia hub. This role serves as the trusted HR partner for the local business, supporting employees and managers throughout the entire employee lifecycle.
The Senior HR Generalist is responsible for ensuring HR excellence and compliance while fostering an engaging, people-first culture. By working closely with local, regional, and global HR teams, the successful candidate will influence HR operations across the Baltics and ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of the Estonia office.
- Deliver HR operations in Estonia, ensuring compliant and efficient management of the full employee lifecycle, from pre-boarding to exit.
- Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and managers in Estonia, providing guidance on HR policies, processes, and employee-related matters.
- Support managers with day-to-day people topics, including performance conversations, employee relations matters, leave management, and general HR queries.
- Ensure compliance with Estonian employment legislation and internal policies, including employment contracts, employee documentation, health & safety requirements, and HR administration.
- Manage employee relations matters, partnering with Central HR and Legal teams when appropriate.
- Support the local execution of global HR processes, including performance reviews, objective setting, learning and development initiatives, engagement activities, and policy rollouts.
- Collaborate with Global Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities in Estonia.
- Maintain accurate HR records, employee data, and reporting, ensuring integrity across HR and payroll systems.
- Partner with Finance on routine HR-related reporting, including headcount tracking and payroll-related inputs.
- Support continuous improvement of HR processes and employee experience initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with Central HR and Baltic HR colleagues, providing support across the region when required.
- Promote Betsson Group culture and values locally, supporting employee engagement initiatives and helping to maintain a positive office environment for the employees based in the Estonia office.
- Coordinate and support office management activities, liaising with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure the office operates smoothly and efficiently.
- Proven experience in an HR Generalist, HR Specialist, or similar role with exposure to HR operations and employee relations. (required)
- Good knowledge of Estonian employment legislation and HR administration requirements. (required)
- Experience supporting the full employee lifecycle with a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail. (required)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across the business. (required)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a dynamic environment. (required)
- Comfortable handling employee queries and supporting employee relations matters with guidance where appropriate. (required)
- Experience working collaboratively with local, regional, and global stakeholders. (required)

- Fluency in English and Estonian, both written and spoken. (required)
