Data Scientist
The Data Scientist will be responsible for ensuring that large amounts of data are optimised and presented to numerous stakeholders to ensure the business operates at its peak; ultimately making Betway the product of choice for customers.
As part of the role, the Data Scientist will research, develop, and apply methods for measuring, analysing and optimising processes and marketing interventions. They will identify appropriate models and algorithms to mine large datasets and develop rich insights into customer behaviour. The role involves extracting, analysing and interpreting large amounts of data from a variety of data sources.
The Data Scientist will work closely with various areas of the business to solve complex business problems using mathematical and statistical solutions. They will use machine learning tools and statistical techniques to produce predictive models and proactively look for opportunities to use data and models to improve the business.
Additionally, the Data Scientist will use data visualisation tools and reporting software to present data to the business in a clear and understandable manner. They will utilise SQL and analytical skills and practices to optimise and improve current data processes within the business. The role also involves proactively looking for opportunities to automate manual processes throughout the business, applying thinking, problem solving and technical expertise to get to the bottom of major incidents.

- 3+ years Data Analytics Experience (required)
- Statistical, Actuarial, Applied Mathematics or similar qualification (required)
- Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills (required)

- Strong Reporting, Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills (required)
