Description

Super Group Africa is seeking an HR Operations Benefits Administrator responsible for the effective administration of employee benefits, ensuring accurate enrolments, changes, reporting, and compliance activities across the employee lifecycle.

Working closely with the Benefits team, Payroll, brokers, and employees, the role maintains accurate benefit records in Workday, supports payroll processing, manages benefits-related queries, and helps ensure a compliant and seamless employee experience.

Responsibilities
  • Administer employee benefit programmes, including medical aid, retirement funds, group life, disability, and related employee benefits across the employee lifecycle.
  • Process benefit enrolments, changes, terminations, beneficiary updates, and other benefit-related transactions accurately and within payroll and provider deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate employee benefit data, documentation, and records within Workday, ensuring compliance with company policies and governance requirements.
  • Act as the primary contact for employee benefits queries, managing the HR Operations Benefits mailbox and providing timely support to employees, brokers, and stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with Payroll, brokers, and the Benefits team to ensure accurate benefit administration, payroll deductions, reconciliations, and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate benefit-related payroll inputs and ensure all required information is submitted accurately and within payroll cut-off timelines.
  • Support employee leave-related benefit processes, including maternity, paternity, adoption, and parental leave documentation and clawback agreements.
  • Conduct regular audits, reconciliations, and reporting activities to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness.
  • Maintain benefits-related forms, SharePoint content, procedures, and employee communications, ensuring information remains current and accessible.
  • Support annual benefits campaigns, employee awareness initiatives, and continuous improvement activities to enhance service delivery and employee experience.
  • Perform other benefits and HR Operations administration duties as required.
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (required).
  • 3-5 years' experience in HR Operations, Benefits Administration, Payroll Administration, or Shared Services (required).
  • Practical experience administering medical aid, retirement funds, group life, disability, and related employee benefits (required).
  • Experience working with HR systems such as Workday and payroll systems such as PaySpace (required).
  • Experience working closely with brokers, benefit providers, Payroll, and HR stakeholders (required).
  • Experience supporting benefits audits, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance activities (required).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint (required).
  • Strong understanding of employee benefits administration and related processes (nice-to-have).
  • Knowledge of payroll implications associated with employee benefits (nice-to-have).
  • High attention to detail and accuracy (nice-to-have).
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills (nice-to-have).
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills (nice-to-have).
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and payroll cut-offs (nice-to-have).
  • Strong data management and reporting capability (nice-to-have).
  • Working knowledge of HR governance, confidentiality, and data protection principles (nice-to-have).
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on service delivery and continuous improvement (nice-to-have).
