Junior Data Scientist
Betway is looking for a Junior Data Scientist to join their team and contribute to the company's growing global customer base. This role offers an opportunity to work with the latest technology and innovation within the online gaming industry.
The Junior Data Scientist will focus on exploring data values, validating data integrity, and assisting in the development and deployment of predictive and prescriptive modelling solutions. The role involves collaborating with technology and operations teams to integrate these models into business processes and communicating findings to stakeholders.
- Assist and participate in the exploration of untapped data values in the business ecosystem, regardless of data formats, as well as mining external data, with the aim of utilizing them for the purpose of predictive and prescriptive modelling solutions.
- Ensure that the data being used is accurate, reliable, and suitable for the model being built, including tasks such as data cleaning, data verification, data transformation and validation methods using both statistical and machine learning methods.
- Assist with marrying business understanding and knowledge with existing, appropriate, predictive and prescriptive model offerings (machine learning and AI) for commercial and/or operational benefits, given a known business challenge.
- Assist in the integration and implementation of relevant models into the applicable business processes through collaboration with relevant technology and/or operations team(s).
- Assist in model validation, evaluation and monitoring in production.
- Contribute to technical standards, tooling, and best practices across the team.
- Communicate modelling approaches, trade-offs, and results clearly to non-technical stakeholders, helping with how data science work is understood and adopted across the business.
