Backend Developer
BGaming is looking for a Backend Developer to join the Publishing team. This role focuses on helping external iGaming studios integrate and release their games within the BGaming ecosystem.
The position combines backend development, automation, and SRE-related tasks. The developer will be responsible for building reliable infrastructure, supporting studios with technical issues, and improving overall Publishing processes.
- Develop and improve the technical infrastructure of Publishing.
- Automate Publishing processes by building scripts, checks, monitoring, alerts, and internal tools.
- Support external game studios with technical integrations, deployments, and production issues.
- Investigate and troubleshoot technical issues across applications, infrastructure, and integrations.
- Perform SRE-related tasks to ensure the reliability and stability of published games.
- Collaborate with DevOps and other engineering teams to investigate and resolve incidents.
- Review games before release and identify potential technical issues and vulnerabilities.
- Communicate directly with external studios on technical matters.
- Proactively identify opportunities for automation and technical improvements.
- Take ownership of technical problems from investigation through resolution.
- 5+ years of commercial backend development experience, preferably with Ruby (required).
- Strong Computer Science fundamentals and solid engineering problem-solving skills (required).
- Experience solving non-trivial technical problems and working with unfamiliar systems (required).
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and ability to use them effectively in everyday engineering work (required).
- Understanding of application deployment and production environments (required).
- Ability to investigate technical issues, identify root causes, and drive them to resolution (required).
- Proactive approach to identifying problems, automating repetitive work, and improving existing processes (required).
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with both internal teams and external developers (required).
- Language proficiency: Russian - Advanced, English - Intermediate or higher (required).
- Experience with DevOps / SRE practices and infrastructure-related tasks (nice-to-have).
- Frontend development experience or a good understanding of frontend applications (nice-to-have).
- Experience working with multiple programming languages (nice-to-have).
