Senior Frontend Game Developer

Description

BGaming is looking for a Senior Frontend Game Developer to join the Core team. This role focuses on building the frontend technology that powers the company's games, including engines, editors, and shared tools.

The developer will be responsible for developing and improving these engines and editors, optimising existing systems, and migrating features between engines. The work spans the full development cycle, from understanding feature requirements and shaping technical approaches to implementation and production deployment.

Performance and production readiness are central to this position. The developer will focus on improving loading, rendering, memory usage, stability, and build workflows, ensuring that visual quality is balanced with the limitations of real devices and browsers.

Collaboration with game developers, designers, artists, QA, backend, release, and other engineering teams is key. The developer will make technical trade-offs visible, share progress, and help teams adopt capabilities across engines with clear guidance and dependable tooling.

Responsibilities
  • Develop frontend features for game engines and in-house editors.
  • Improve and optimise existing engines.
  • Port features between engines, adapting them to each engine’s architecture and validating that they behave consistently in production.
  • Build reusable capabilities that make game development and iteration faster, including plugins, components, templates, and editor integrations.
  • Improve runtime performance and stability across devices and browsers.
  • Work with visual systems where needed, including animation, Spine, particles, and interactive effects, while keeping reusable engine capabilities in focus.
  • Collaborate with game teams to understand production needs, clarify requirements, assess feasibility, and deliver features that work across projects.
  • Review code, document engine and editor capabilities, and support other developers in using shared features effectively.
  • Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and deliver fixes or improvements that prevent similar problems across games.
  • Contribute to technical planning by estimating work, surfacing dependencies and risks, and keeping implementation progress visible.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional frontend development experience, including strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills (required)
  • 3+ years of experience developing games with PixiJS (required)
  • Experience developing slot games (preferred)
  • Experience building or maintaining reusable frontend libraries, frameworks, editors, or developer tools (required)
  • Solid understanding of JavaScript and TypeScript, object-oriented programming, design patterns, and modular software architecture (required)
  • Practical experience profiling and optimising browser applications, including rendering, asset loading, memory use, and performance constraints (required)
  • Language proficiency: Russian - Advanced, English - Intermediate or higher (required)
  • Experience with WebGL, WebGPU, Canvas, or other browser graphics technologies (nice-to-have)
  • Familiarity with game engine architecture, game editors, asset pipelines, and build systems (nice-to-have)
  • Experience with performance tooling, automated smoke checks, end-to-end testing, or browser-based benchmarks (nice-to-have)
  • Familiarity with Unity, Unreal Engine, Flash, or other game development technologies (nice-to-have)
Benefits
  • Work where it suits you: from home, the office, or a mix of both.
  • 100% paid vacation and sick days, plus extra days off.
  • Medical insurance and mental health support.
  • BCoins for internal rewards and fun perks.
  • Budget for professional development, certifications, and language courses (English and Polish).
  • Hackathons, team events, and legendary parties.
  • Kids’ camp for BGamers’ families.
  • Referral program with real rewards.
