Investment Associate
Boosta is looking for an Investment Associate to evaluate investment opportunities and support the growth of its investment portfolio. The role involves conducting financial and market analysis, leading due diligence processes, and working closely with founders and the Investment Committee to support strategic investment decisions.
The Investment Associate will be responsible for managing deal flow, performing financial modelling, and producing investment memos. The position requires a proactive individual capable of driving sourcing efforts and leading value-add projects with portfolio companies.
- Own initial screening of deal flow, deciding which opportunities merit deeper work and defending that call to the team.
- Lead financial modelling on assigned deals from a blank sheet: unit economics, cohort and retention analysis, P&L forecasts, and scenario analysis - and pressure-test founder-provided numbers.
- Own market and commercial due diligence: benchmarking, market sizing, reverse-engineering competitor economics, and forming a view on where the business wins or breaks.
- Run due diligence workstreams end-to-end - scope the workstreams, manage the data room, coordinate vendors and internal functions, and produce the written DD report.
- Write the investment memo and present the analysis directly in the Investment Committee, including a clear recommendation.
- Own portfolio KPI reporting; set up and maintain dashboards, run weekly updates and monthly reviews, and flag risks and outperformance.
- Lead value-add projects with portfolio companies (pricing, monetization audits, expansion modeling, KPI design), working directly with founders.
- Drive sourcing in assigned verticals - build and work the outbound pipeline, own founder / operator / co-investor relationships, and represent the fund in the ecosystem.
- Draft LOIs, term sheets, SHAs, and SPAs, benchmark against precedents, and coordinate directly with the Investment Committee, escalating the substantive deviations.
- Produce thematic and sector research to shape the fund's thesis, and drive concrete improvements to strategy, processes, and tooling.
- Help onboard and mentor analysts, and review their analytical work.
- 3–4 years in IB, PE / VC, consulting, corporate development / M&A, or a senior strategy / finance role at a strong product or tech company (required).
- Economics, finance, or related degree from a top-tier university, or equivalent demonstrated analytical track record (required).
- Fluent English, written and spoken (required).
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets modeling (required).
- Good understanding of subscription and product-IT unit economics - enough to challenge a founder's framing, not just reproduce it (required).
- Demonstrated deal experience - has taken transactions through diligence to close, or run comparable end-to-end analytical workstreams with real ownership (required).
- Structured thinking and sound investment judgment - can move from data to a defensible recommendation and own it (required).
- Excellent communication; comfortable presenting to and disagreeing with founders, senior stakeholders, and the Investment Committee (required).
- Proactive self-starter who operates with minimal supervision and improves the systems around them (required).
- Discretion and ability to handle confidential information appropriately (required).
- Direct operating or investing experience at a B2C subscription product company (nice-to-have).
- Familiarity with the analytics / attribution / processing stack: Amplitude, AppsFlyer / Adjust, RevenueCat, Stripe / Adyen (nice-to-have).
- Experience mentoring junior team members or managing external advisors (nice-to-have).
- 28 business days of paid off.
- Flexible hours and the possibility to work remotely.
- Medical insurance and mental health care.
- Compensation for courses, trainings.
- English classes and speaking clubs.
- Internal library, educational events.
- Outstanding corporate parties, teambuildings.
