Safer Gambling Officer
BoyleSports is seeking a Safer Gambling Officer to support the Safer Gambling team in managing its customer base in line with regulatory requirements. The role focuses on ensuring the safety of the business and its products from financial and legal risks.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Safer Gambling Officers to ensure consistency and high quality in work processes. They will collaborate with the AML team, CDD team, Customer Service department, and other stakeholders to assess safer gambling risks using various tools and processes.
- Conduct processes and procedures to meet regulatory Anti-Money Laundering and Safer Gambling obligations for digital and retail customers.
- Monitor player activity to identify behaviours indicative of potential gambling-related harm and take necessary actions based on risk.
- Interact with customers through various channels to ensure activity remains affordable and they are not at risk of harm.
- Monitor customer spend against known income or documents to assess affordability.
- Support the maintenance and review of logs and reporting for record-keeping purposes.
- Support the development of safer gambling risk-based policies, procedures, and processes.
- Manage and build effective relationships with stakeholders and prepare reports as required.
- Support the delivery of education and training for staff.
- Update and maintain departmental Safer Gambling processes and documents.
- Act as the first point of contact for staff and external authorities on Safer Gambling matters, including investigating and determining courses of action.
- Assist in general compliance enquiries of a safer gambling nature.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks and reports.
- Work closely with Senior Safer Gambling Officers to achieve goals, share best practices, and implement new processes.
- The role requires evening, weekend, and bank holiday work.
- Experience in using Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. (required)
- Keen interest in and aptitude for safer gambling, risk assessment, due diligence, and customer interaction. (required)
- Ability to accurately identify and analyse different types of risk and escalate them in a clear and timely manner. (required)
- Capable of managing a diverse workload and triaging numerous tasks. (required)

- Knowledge and experience of Gambling Commission regulations. (preferred)
