Finance Director
The Finance Director provides strategic and operational leadership across the Finance function, ensuring robust financial control, high-quality insight, and disciplined execution across the business. The role leads the consolidation and oversight of the Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, working capital, and liquidity position, while driving clear information flows and high standards of governance across multiple jurisdictions.
The Finance Director has responsibility for entities in Gibraltar, the UK, the Isle of Man, and Hungary, and provides leadership to the Financial Control, Treasury/Accounts Payable, and Payment Service Provider (PSP) Reconciliations teams.
- Lead the preparation, review, and continuous improvement of all financial reporting, ensuring timely, accurate, and decision-useful output.
- Provide detailed analysis and commentary of Direct Costs, including affiliates, gaming taxes (including mitigation), sports data, license fees, and PSP fees.
- Manage the annual budget and quarterly reforecast process, specifically balance sheet, working capital, and cash flow.
- Provide strategic leadership to the Financial Control, Treasury, and PSP Reconciliation teams, setting clear priorities, accountability, and performance expectations.
- Lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams, promoting quality, efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement across the function.
- Build organisational capability by developing talent, succession plans, and career pathways aligned to the future needs of the Finance function.
- Provide leadership on finance-related regulatory, OECD, and tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions, working closely with compliance and other stakeholders to ensure obligations are met to a high standard.
- Lead the development and strengthening of internal control frameworks, finance solutions integration, and key transformation initiatives that enhance scalability, control, and efficiency.
- Contribute to the development of company strategy, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate, and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities.
- Partner with the CFO and executive leadership team to shape long-term financial strategy, including capital allocation, liquidity planning, and investment prioritisation.
- Lead financial evaluation of strategic initiatives, acquisitions, partnerships, and new market opportunities, providing robust business cases and risk-adjusted recommendations.
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience (required).
- Significant senior finance experience, ideally gained within the online gaming industry or another complex, fast-paced, regulated environment (required).
- Commercially astute, strategically minded, and technically credible, with the gravitas to influence at executive and board level (required).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex financial matters clearly to executive leadership, boards, and cross-functional teams (required).
- Readiness to proactively drive and deliver high-impact results through both individual and team efforts (required).
- Strong technical accounting expertise, including IFRS and UK GAAP, with experience reviewing annual financial statements across multiple jurisdictions (required).
