Lead Commercial Partnerships Manager

Description

The Lead Commercial Partnerships Manager is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of advertiser and operator partnerships and delivering revenue performance across assigned accounts. The role owns commercial outcomes for its portfolio while operating within established commercial frameworks and playbooks. This position represents a developing portfolio owner role – accountable for results while strengthening expertise in Catena Media’s core business, partner economics, and strategic decision-making. The Lead collaborates closely with the Director of Commercial Partnerships and Head of Commercial Partnerships to strengthen judgment, prioritization, with the expectation of progressing toward fully independent commercial decision-making.

Responsibilities
  • Operate as a revenue owner for assigned accounts.
  • Apply commercial frameworks consistently while building independent judgment.
  • Prioritize commercial outcomes over activity completion.
  • Escalate earlier than later when facing ambiguity or risk.
  • Demonstrate increasing autonomy over time.
  • Build knowledge across all verticals (regulated, sweeps, emerging markets).
  • Support continuity of coverage across the team when required.
  • Own day-to-day relationships and commercial performance across an assigned portfolio of partners, ensuring continuity, responsiveness, and revenue performance across the portfolio.
  • Identify and implement growth opportunities, execute agreed initiatives, and advance partner investment using established commercial strategies and playbooks.
  • Independently lead commercial discussions and renewals, escalating non-standard terms when required.
  • Work with Product, Content, SEO, and Marketing teams to implement initiatives that improve conversion, yield, and partner performance across the portfolio and ensure implementation reflects agreed commercial terms.
  • Track performance trends, maintain reliable forecasts, and communicate risks or opportunities and propose next actions in a timely and structured manner.
  • Ensure commercial initiatives are clearly scoped, implemented correctly, and aligned with partner expectations and internal operational processes.
  • Identify underperformance, payment risks, or contractual gaps early and escalate promptly to protect the company's interests and payment timelines.
  • Maintain accurate CRM updates, commercial records, and reporting hygiene consistent with team operating standards.
  • Any other adhoc duties which may be assigned by management from time to time.
Requirements
  • 4+ years in online gambling, affiliate, performance marketing, or digital marketplace.
  • Experience supporting or managing commercial partnerships.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Analytical mindset and comfort working with performance data.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Clear communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
