- Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable, and reliable streaming and batch data pipelines in our modern cloud environment
- Map and profile data lineage from source systems to target environments
- Implement cutting-edge data engineering best practices to guarantee the quality and consistency of our crucial data assets
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues with data feeds, ensuring uninterrupted flow and availability
- Establish and maintain strong communication channels between business and technical teams regarding the strategic use of company data
- Full ownership of the development lifecycle and ability to work independently if necessary
- Experienced data engineer with 3+ years in data integration & real time streaming (required)
- Experience in streaming big datasets using Spark, Flink, Kafka or similar (required)
- Experience with AWS or GCP Cloud data processing solutions (required)
- Experience in programming with Scala or Java (required)
- Experience in SQL query writing and optimisation (required)
- Excellent command of spoken English (required)
- Keen attention to detail and data quality (required)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment whilst interacting with a variety of different disciplines (required)
- Proven ability to prioritise and deal with problems systematically and provide clear communications regarding the issues, resolution times and solutions (required)
- Experience with IaC tools (e.g. Terraform) and deployment tools (e.g. Github Actions) (required)
- Hold an academic degree in a quantitative discipline such as computer science or mathematics (nice-to-have)
- Experience within the iGaming industry and / or regulatory aspect of iGaming would be considered an asset (nice-to-have)
- Experience with Airflow (nice-to-have)
- Experience in business analysis and requirements gathering (nice-to-have)
- Experience with data warehousing will be considered an asset (nice-to-have)
