The role contributes to the overall efficiency, scalability, and reliability of containerised infrastructure and applications within a fast-paced, cloud-centric environment.

The DevOps Engineer will own and deliver assigned work while collaborating with senior engineers and architects to align with best practices. The position involves researching and implementing cloud-native tools, managing infrastructure as code, and supporting cloud-hosted applications as part of a 24/7 support roster.

Responsibilities
  • Own and deliver assigned work with accountability, while collaborating closely with senior engineers and architects to align with cloud and DevOps best practices.
  • Communicate technical ideas clearly, especially when discussing cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment strategies with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Adapt to evolving business needs in a fast-paced, cloud-centric environment, ensuring solutions remain scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
  • Research and implement cloud-native tools and services within the Azure and AWS ecosystems to enhance deployment efficiency, observability, and platform reliability.
  • Apply Infrastructure as Code principles using tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation to manage infrastructure in a version-controlled, repeatable manner.
  • Support cloud-hosted applications as part of a 24/7 support roster, contributing to incident resolution and knowledge sharing to reduce operational dependencies.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups with DevOps and development teams to provide updates, raise blockers, and contribute to discussions on deployment, monitoring, and security.
  • Engage early in project lifecycles to ensure infrastructure, logging, and monitoring requirements are considered from the start, aligning with Azure/AWS architecture and compliance standards.
  • Maintain documentation of cloud infrastructure, application dependencies, and operational procedures to support knowledge transfer and system reliability.
  • Work across a diverse stack including Kubernetes, Kafka, RabbitMQ, ELK Stack, Cloudflare, MySQL, and MongoDB.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of these systems.
  • Support and enhance cloud-native infrastructure on Azure and AWS using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation).
  • Automate deployments and manage CI/CD pipelines with tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and AWS CodePipeline.
  • Deploy and manage containerised applications on AKS, EKS, and self-managed clusters using Rancher for multi-cluster management, RBAC, and GitOps integration.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot workloads using Prometheus, Grafana, and cloud-native tools.
  • Implement cloud and container security best practices, manage secrets (e.g., Azure Key Vault, AWS Secrets Manager), and ensure systems are monitored for performance and availability.
  • Work closely with developers, architects, and other DevOps engineers.
  • Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and mentoring within the team.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, systems engineering, or infrastructure management, with exposure to CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, and container orchestration (required).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred).
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Expert, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (nice-to-have).
  • Hands-on experience deploying, managing, and optimizing services on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including networking, storage, and compute resources (required).
  • Proficiency with Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, including managing container runtime environments (required).
  • Practical experience using tools like Terraform and Ansible to define, provision, and maintain infrastructure through code (required).
  • Ability to design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, deployments, and testing using tools such as GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions, or similar (required).
  • Experience configuring and operating observability stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) for performance monitoring and troubleshooting of hosting platforms and applications (required).
  • Strong understanding of security best practices, including RBAC, network policies, encryption, and compliance with industry standards (required).
  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, mentor peers, and contribute to technical decision-making (required).
  • Skilled in diagnosing complex infrastructure and application issues and implementing robust solutions (required).
  • Experience working within Agile frameworks and applying DevOps principles to streamline delivery and operations (required).
  • Comfortable collaborating with software development teams to align infrastructure and deployment strategies with application requirements (required).
  • Previous experience in the online gaming or casino industry (nice-to-have).
