Head of Finance COR and Gaming Ops
The Head of Finance provides end-to-end financial leadership for the Cost of Revenue and Gaming Operations division, with responsibility for setting and executing the financial strategy, driving performance management, ensuring delivery of month end, and delivering high-quality commercial decision support. The role holds ultimate ownership and accountability for all Gaming Operations and Cost of Revenue. The drive and ideas of the individual in this role will help Super Group move faster, improve smarter, and stay ahead of the game.
- Oversee the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of cost of gaming ops data and gaming ops data across all dimensions (product, region, platform and brand).
- Align all reporting templates for all Gaming Ops and COR schedules.
- Review and sign off all relevant gaming ops related Floqast reconciliations, checklists and Flux Analysis items in line with set timelines.
- Ensure Gaming Ops and COR related open items are maintained and aged items resolved timeously.
- Ensure monthly, quarterly and annual group reporting requirements and timelines are adhered to and met.
- Ensure all financial regulatory requirements are documented, maintained and adhered to. (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly & Annually)
- Work with VP to ensure all new regulatory changes and tax changes are understood, documented and operationalised.
- Work with A&A team to ensuring timely delivery and resolution of regulatory, local and group audit deliverables and queries.
- Own the Gaming Ops and COR related budgeting and forecasting process.
- Continuously improve and automate reporting regarding Gaming Ops and COR across dimensions, admin events and player balances.
- Implement best-in-class reporting tools and dashboards for reporting and analysis integrating AI tools wherever possible.
- Implement and continuously improve financial policies and procedures in relation to Gaming Ops and COR.
- Lead initiatives to improve efficiency, automation and data integrity.
- Ensure full compliance with SOX controls, including proper documentation, implementation and ensuring RACMs remain up to date.
- Ensure team maintains detailed monthly task list with clear accountability.
- Document and implement training across Teams.
- Provide regular coaching, development and performance feedback.
- Build a culture of accountability, accuracy, continuous improvement and automation.
- B Com (Accounting) with completed Articles, CA (SA), CIMA or equivalent (required)
- Accounting review experience (required)
- Minimum 5 years managerial experience (required)
- Knowledge of IFRS (required)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality work (required)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software systems (required)
- Expertise in managing multiple deadlines simultaneously, with a track record of delivering on time and within scope (required)
- Experience in Microsoft Dynamics Navision or Business Central (nice-to-have)
- Experience in reviewing AFS (nice-to-have)
