Legal Counsel
Digitain is looking for a Legal Counsel to join its Commercial Legal Department. Forming part of the Legal Directorate, this role ensures that the company operates according to the highest legal, compliance, and ethical standards.
The Legal Counsel is responsible for legal matters related to gaming-related B2B deals, including both sales and procurement. The role involves providing legal research and advice on the company's iGaming activities and operations, ensuring alignment with applicable laws and regulatory frameworks. Furthermore, the position provides strategic advice on the company's iGaming operations to ensure alignment with the rapidly evolving global iGaming legal landscape.
- Day-to-day drafting, reviews, negotiations and solidifying agreements and other legal documents with focus on gaming-related B2B deals (both sales and procurement).
- Accurate and timely counsel in a variety of gaming-related legal topics.
- Presentation of legal issues to the staff together with analysis, options and recommendations.
- Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations.
- Keep abreast with gaming laws, regulations, guidelines and industry standards.
- Research and analyze Armenian and international legislation.
- Maintain documentation flow and reports in compliance with internal rules of Legal Directorate.
- Any other ad-hoc duties that may be required from time to time to fulfil the business needs.
- LL.B. and LL.M. degrees in Law (required).
- At least 4-5 years of professional experience in a law firm or as an in-house legal adviser in a commercial organization (required).
- Strong emphasis on International Business Law, Private International Law, IP Law, Licensing Law (required).
- Strong knowledge of RA Civil, Labor, Administrative and Gaming legislation (required).
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Russian (required).
- Strong drafting skills (required).
- Strong analytical thinking and having an eye for detail (required).
- Strong ability to organize and prioritize workload whilst meeting tight deadlines (required).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to work in a team and develop effective working relations with colleagues (required).
- Proactive and self-motivated with an ability to work under pressure (required).
- Conversant with document and project management software and tools such as Microsoft Office, Google Docs, etc. (required).
