Description

As a Director, HR Business Partnership, Global Technology, the individual will serve as a strategic advisor to leaders across the global Technology organisation. Partnering closely with Engineering, Product, Platform, and IT leaders, the role involves shaping the teams responsible for building and scaling the products and experiences that power DraftKings' Sportsbook, Casino, Fantasy Sports, Media, and emerging businesses.

The role requires driving organisational design, workforce strategy, leadership effectiveness, and transformation initiatives that enable teams to scale, innovate, and perform at their best. As DraftKings continues to evolve, the Director will help leaders prepare for the future of work, including the opportunities and challenges presented by AI, automation, and emerging technologies. This position operates as a trusted advisor, organisational architect, and change leader, helping technical organisations evolve while maintaining a high-performance, innovative, and inclusive culture.

Responsibilities
  • Partner closely with Consumer Engineering leaders across Sports, iGaming, Platform, and IT as a trusted advisor on organisational effectiveness, workforce strategy, and leadership development.
  • Influence business decisions through organisational insight, workforce data, and market intelligence while helping leaders navigate growth, change, and evolving business priorities.
  • Lead organisational design initiatives and evolve team structures, operating models, and ways of working to support business growth, innovation, and scalability.
  • Develop workforce planning strategies aligned to business priorities, future capability needs, and long-term organisational health.
  • Partner with leaders to build high-performing teams through talent strategy, succession planning, leadership development, and organisational effectiveness programs.
  • Assess workforce capabilities and identify critical skill gaps required to support DraftKings' technology roadmap and future growth.
  • Advise leaders on the organisational, talent, and workforce implications of AI, automation, and emerging technologies.
  • Help Engineering leaders evaluate, adopt, and scale AI-enabled ways of working that improve productivity, collaboration, innovation, and organisational effectiveness.
  • Lead change management and transformation initiatives, including organisational redesigns, operating model evolution, and business growth programs.
  • Leverage people analytics, engagement data, and workforce insights to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and drive informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Learning & Organizational Effectiveness, Total Rewards, People Operations, and Inclusion, Equity & Belonging teams to deliver integrated people strategies.
  • Continuously improve people programs, processes, and team member experiences to support a high-performing and scalable organisation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (required).
  • Master’s Degree or advanced degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field (preferred).
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, Organizational Effectiveness, Workforce Strategy, or related disciplines (required).
  • Experience supporting Engineering, Product, Technology, or Digital organisations, preferably within high-growth technology environments (preferred).
  • Demonstrated expertise in organisational design, workforce planning, talent strategy, leadership development, and change management (required).
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders, navigate complex organisations, and drive business outcomes through people strategies (required).
  • Experience supporting software engineering organisations and globally distributed technical teams (required).
  • Experience leading organisational transformation initiatives, including digital transformation, operating model evolution, workforce transformation, or future-of-work programs (required).
  • Demonstrated understanding of how AI and emerging technologies impact workforce planning, organisational design, capability development, leadership effectiveness, and ways of working (required).
  • Ability to advise leaders on the people, organisational, and change-management implications of AI, automation, and technological change (required).
  • Strong analytical, consulting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data and insights into actionable recommendations (required).
  • Exceptional coaching, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills (required).
  • Strong business acumen, systems-thinking capability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment (required).
