Video Specialist

The Video Specialist is responsible for the visual integrity of all studio productions at Eeze. This role involves owning camera positioning, chromakey fine-tuning, lighting configuration, and colour correction across all live tables and studio environments. Operating within the AVL Team, the specialist ensures every stream meets the highest visual standards, delivering a consistent, broadcast-quality image that accurately represents the studio design and brand.

As the visual authority in the Studio Department, the Video Specialist works closely with the Audio Specialist, Studio Design, and AVL Team across all builds, launches, and live productions. This is an on-site, shift-based role requiring physical activity such as mounting cameras, rigging lighting, and working at height on trussing and overhead rigs.

• Plan and execute camera positioning for all new studio and table builds based on Product Requirements, design drawings, and game view specifications.
• Install and mount cameras per the approved camera plan, ensuring all required game views are covered.
• Configure camera settings including focus, exposure, iris, frame rate, resolution, and shutter speed.
• Verify all camera angles are clean, unobstructed, and framed correctly before sign-off.
• Adjust and refine camera positioning following studio set assembly and lighting installation.
• Configure and fine-tune chromakey settings for all virtual set and green screen studio environments.
• Ensure clean keying with no fringing, spill, or edge artefacts across all camera angles.
• Optimise lighting uniformity on chromakey backdrops to achieve consistent, production-ready keying results.
• Test chromakey output across all active cameras and validate against virtual set requirements.
• Re-tune chromakey settings following any changes to lighting, camera positions, or set elements.
• Configure and commission LED lighting rigs for all studio and table builds, setting colour temperature, lux levels, and scene configurations to meet studio standard.
• Ensure consistent, even illumination across the full play area with no hotspots, shadows, or uneven spread.
• Test lighting at production frame rates to confirm zero flicker at 25fps and 50fps.
• Programme and maintain lighting scenes and presets in the LED control system.
• Monitor lighting quality on-camera, verifying there is no overexposure, underexposure, or colour cast.
• Adjust lighting in response to changes in studio layout, set elements, or camera positioning.
• Perform colour correction and calibration across all studio cameras to ensure consistent colour accuracy, white balance, and skin tones.
• Use scopes and reference monitors to validate colour accuracy to broadcast standards.
• Ensure colour consistency is maintained across all cameras on a single table and across the wider studio environment.
• Re-calibrate cameras following any changes to lighting, lenses, or equipment.
• Apply and maintain camera LUTs or profiles where required.
• Monitor video quality across all live production tables and resolve image quality issues including focus drift, exposure changes, colour shifts, or signal instability.
• Respond to P1 video incidents immediately with a minimum response target of under 5 minutes.
• Carry out regular visual quality checks at the start of each production shift across all active tables.
• Support the Studio IT Team on encoder output verification, confirming image quality is maintained end-to-end through the encoding and streaming pipeline.
• Lead video-related POC testing for new cameras, lenses, lighting systems, and chromakey solutions in the R&D test area.
• Document test results in the POC Test Log against defined acceptance criteria.
• Evaluate new video technologies and make recommendations to the Head of Technical Operations.
• Complete the camera, lighting, and video sections of the Technical QA Checklist for all new table and studio launches.
• Maintain all studio video and lighting equipment, including scheduled servicing, firmware updates, lens cleaning, and condition checks.
• Manage video and lighting equipment inventory, flagging items for replacement at end of lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all camera configurations, lighting setups, colour profiles, and chromakey settings per studio and table.
• Contribute to the Studio Technical Systems Register for all video and lighting assets.

• Experience in a video engineering, broadcast camera, or studio operations role in a live production or broadcast environment (required)
• Strong hands-on experience with professional camera systems, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting (required)
• Demonstrable expertise in chromakey configuration and fine-tuning in a live studio environment (required)
• Solid understanding of professional lighting for broadcast, including colour temperature, lux measurement, LED control systems, and flicker testing (required)
• Strong colour correction skills, including use of scopes (waveform, vectorscope, histogram), white balance, LUTs, and colour calibration (required)
• Ability to work under pressure in a live broadcast environment, remaining calm, decisive, and fast when issues arise (required)
• Strong visual eye for spotting subtle image quality issues before they impact the production (required)
• Experience in a live casino studio or similar high-availability, multi-camera broadcast environment (nice-to-have)
• Familiarity with IP-based video systems and signal routing (nice-to-have)
• Experience with video switchers, signal processors, and production control systems (nice-to-have)
• Knowledge of encoding pipelines and how camera settings impact downstream stream quality (nice-to-have)
• Experience with virtual set production and real-time compositing (nice-to-have)
• Relevant broadcast or camera engineering qualifications (nice-to-have)
