Junior Network Engineer

Description

EveryMatrix is seeking a motivated Network Administrator to manage and maintain its network infrastructure alongside the current team. The role focuses on ensuring the stability, security, and performance of the company's infrastructure, both on-premises and cloud-based.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of networking technologies and excellent problem-solving abilities. The role offers an opportunity to evolve technical skills within an enterprise-level network environment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain EveryMatrix’s enterprise network infrastructure.
  • Assist in acquiring, installing, and upgrading IT components, licensing, and software, and manage inventory including switches, routers, firewalls, and access points.
  • Provide basic technical support for VPN solutions including site-to-site, remote access, IPSEC, and SSL.
  • Perform network maintenance, ensuring all equipment is monitored, alerts are sent, and documentation is up to date.
  • Provide technical support for network security and monitoring solutions.
  • Support internal teams to handle network problems.
  • Troubleshoot network-related problems in a timely manner.
  • Effectively communicate with team members, peers, and management.
  • Manage operational tasks and ensure they are completed within agreed SLAs.
  • Adhere to business standards and processes.
  • Troubleshoot network team incidents and participate in elaborating a clear root cause analysis and complete mitigation plan.
  • Coordinate with all parties including clients, peers, and vendors to ensure seamless operations and project delivery.
  • Manage network devices lifecycle and patch management.
  • Ensure accurate monitoring of network devices.
  • Ensure knowledge transfer from team engineers.
  • Handle other requirements raised by management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as engineering, mathematics, or IT (nice-to-have).
  • Minimum of 1 year of technical background with various network equipment including routers, switches, and firewalls (required).
  • Knowledge of routing, switching, and network protocols such as DHCP, ARP, dot1q, OSPF, and BGP (required).
  • Knowledge of configuring and managing VPN solutions including site-to-site, remote access, IPSEC, and SSL (required).
  • Knowledge of managing firewall devices (required).
  • Knowledge of Linux OS and microservices (required).
  • Understanding of ITIL processes, with certification being a plus (nice-to-have).
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken (required).
  • Good communication skills (required).

  • Problem-solving skills (required).
  • Ability to accept and adjust to changes in an agile environment (required).
