Product Owner
EveryMatrix is looking for a Sportsbook Product Owner to join the UXMatrix Product Team and take ownership of the development and continuous improvement of the sportsbook frontend experience. The role involves defining product objectives and translating market, business, and customer needs into actionable requirements for the development team.
The Product Owner will work across the full product lifecycle, from discovery and definition through to delivery, launch, and optimisation. This position requires close collaboration with design, engineering, QA, delivery, and commercial stakeholders to ensure the product meets technical, regulatory, and commercial goals.
- Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, objectives, and roadmap for the sportsbook frontend.
- Translate company strategy, operator requirements, market trends, and end-user needs into clear product priorities.
- Identify opportunities to improve sportsbook acquisition, engagement, conversion, retention, and overall user experience.
- Work with operators, commercial teams, and end users to identify problems and product opportunities.
- Convert business needs into clear product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and accessible product documentation in Jira and Confluence.
- Own and continuously maintain the product backlog, prioritising initiatives based on customer value, risk, and technical dependencies.
- Lead or actively contribute to backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and relevant product workshops.
- Act as the primary product contact for assigned sportsbook initiatives and build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Define success criteria and measurable KPIs for new features and product initiatives.
- Monitor sportsbook metrics and use data to evaluate product performance and identify opportunities for optimisation.
- At least three years of experience in product ownership, product management, business analysis, or a comparable digital-product role (required).
- Experience in iGaming (required).
- Experience working with cross-functional software-development teams in an agile environment (required).
- Strong ability to translate business and user needs into clear, structured, and testable product requirements (required).
- Demonstrated experience managing product backlogs, priorities, scope, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations (required).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make evidence-based product decisions (required).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (required).
- Confidence presenting product recommendations and reasoning with technical, commercial, and senior stakeholders (required).
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives and competing priorities (required).
- Ability to understand technical concepts, frontend architecture, APIs, integrations, and platform dependencies at a product level (required).
- Experience using Jira, Confluence, or equivalent product and delivery-management tools (required).
- Professional proficiency in English (required).
- A degree in technology, economics, business, or a related discipline (required).
