Trainee Tax Analyst
EveryMatrix is looking for a dedicated Trainee Tax Analyst to join the team in Bucharest, Romania. This role offers exposure to a wide range of international tax matters and the opportunity to work with experienced tax professionals in a multinational environment.
The position provides hands-on experience across multiple jurisdictions within a supportive environment focused on learning, development, and career growth. There is also the possibility to progress into a more senior tax role as experience and responsibilities grow.
- Assist with the preparation and coordination of tax compliance obligations for group entities.
- Support the collection, review, and organisation of information required for tax filings and reporting.
- Liaise with tax authorities and assist with administrative aspects of tax correspondence and inquiries.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Finance, Legal, Treasury, and external advisors.
- Maintain tax records, documentation, and compliance trackers.
- Assist with tax registrations, compliance monitoring, and other tax-related administrative matters.
- Provide general administrative support to the Group Tax team.
- Support senior team members with day-to-day tax projects, research, reconciliations, and compliance activities.
- Assist in the improvement and maintenance of tax processes, procedures, and internal controls.
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree (Accounting, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics or related fields) (required).
- Recent graduate (Internship 3 months) or candidate with up to 1-2 years of work experience (Junior) (required).
- Previous internship, volunteering, or work experience in accounting, taxation or finance is considered an asset (nice-to-have).
- Strong command of English, both written and spoken (required).
- Interest in taxation, tax compliance, and international business (required).
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and internet-based research tools (required).
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills (required).
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn (required).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines (required).
- Start with 22 days of annual leave, with 2 additional days added each year, up to 32 days by your fifth year with us.
- Hybrid work schedule is available after the first three months of employment, with up to 50 days of work from home per year.
