Accounting Specialist
The Accounting Specialist will perform and manage daily accounting and bookkeeping tasks. This includes maintaining a list of vendors and their timing relevant for balance reconciliation, checking customs documentation, posting taxes, and preparing payments. Cooperation with customs brokers is also a key part of the role.
The position involves annual stock taking of vendors and the accounting and control of paid advances. Monthly closing procedures are essential, ensuring that necessary calculations and postings are in place for the month to be closed properly.
Assistance in audits is required, which involves providing all necessary documents and information, and preparing reports for auditors. The Accounting Specialist will ensure that the Company's procedures are followed and complied with, and that transactions are entered accurately by selecting correct accounts, periods, and accounting and tax principles.
Ensuring that taxes are calculated and accounted for in compliance with the tax legislation for Colombia, Argentina, and Brazil is a critical responsibility. The role may also involve performing other duties as asked by the manager that are related to this position and meet the qualifications. Replacement of colleagues during their vacations, sick leaves, and other absences is also part of the role, and this is considered part of the regular working time.

- At least 2 years of experience as an accountant in a company with a strong control environment (required).
- Graduate or bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, or an appropriate certificate in Accounting (required).
- Knowledge of local tax and accounting legislation (required).
- Good knowledge of English at a B2-C1 level (required).
- Good computer skills, specifically MS Office (required).
