Evolution is looking for a talented Data Scientist to join its Data Science team. In this role, the successful candidate will design and develop machine learning solutions specifically aimed at enhancing risk assessment and fraud detection.
Evolution expects the Data Scientist to leverage data-driven insights to build robust models, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deploy scalable solutions that drive real-world impact.
- Develop and optimize machine learning models for fraud detection and risk assessment.
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to identify the best ML approaches for real-world challenges.
- Work closely with data engineers to source, preprocess, and structure high-quality datasets.
- Define performance metrics and evaluation frameworks to measure model effectiveness.
- Continuously train, test, monitor and refine models to ensure accuracy and scalability.
- Collaborate with team members to deploy machine learning models to production environments.
- Extend and optimize existing ML libraries and frameworks as needed.
- A university degree in a numerical field (Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, etc.) (required)
- 4+ years of work experience in Data Science, Machine Learning or related field (required)
- Strong expertise in ML techniques (supervised/unsupervised learning, deep learning, NLP, etc.) (required)
- Solid foundation in linear algebra, statistics, and probabilistic modeling (required)
- Fluent in Python, SQL, and Python ML libraries such as Scikit-Learn and PyTorch (required)
- Excellent communication skills (fluent English) and a problem-solving mindset (required)
- Passion for staying updated on the latest AI/ML trends and technologies (required)
- Experience with Scala or Java (nice-to-have)
- Familiarity with Big data processing frameworks such as Spark, Athena, ClickHouse (nice-to-have)
- Experience with deploying ML solutions to production (nice-to-have)
- Experience with AWS or other cloud providers (nice-to-have)
- Gross monthly salary from 4400 EUR to 6400 EUR.
