Payroll Specialist
Support the Payroll Specialist in the monthly calculation and processing of the company's payroll.
Work closely with the Operations and Human Resources departments to ensure accurate and timely payroll reporting in Colombia.
Ensure that accounting entries and accruals related to payroll are recorded correctly and promptly in the General Ledger.
Support the monthly payroll and tips reconciliations as part of the month-end accounting closing process.
Execute any other activity or responsibility assigned by the Chief Accountant, according to the needs of the department.
- Support the Payroll Specialist in the monthly calculation and processing of the company's payroll.
- Work closely with the Operations and Human Resources departments to ensure accurate and timely payroll reporting in Colombia.
- Ensure that accounting entries and accruals related to payroll are recorded correctly and promptly in the General Ledger.
- Support the monthly payroll and tips reconciliations as part of the month-end accounting closing process.
- Execute any other activity or responsibility assigned by the Chief Accountant, according to the needs of the department.
- Professional degree in Finance, Public Accounting, Accounting, or related fields (required).
- Between 2 and 3 years of proven experience in payroll-related roles, preferably in dynamic, high-volume work environments (required).
- Demonstrable experience in all payroll processes, including the calculation, processing, and management of payroll-associated taxes (required).
- Experience processing payroll for over 500 employees (required).
- Proactive individual with initiative and a focus on excellence (required).
- Good knowledge of applicable fiscal and accounting procedures (required).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (required).
- Advanced proficiency in computer tools, especially Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite (required).
- Intermediate-advanced English level (B2–C1) (required).
- Excellent organisational, planning, and multitasking skills (required).
