QA Automation Engineer
Evolution is looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join the Math QA team. This role focuses on ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the backend logic that powers online games.
The successful candidate will design and execute automated test cases for request and response flows. They will also contribute to the automation framework to guarantee high-quality releases while working at the intersection of technology, mathematics, and gaming.
- Adapt and extend the framework for new game mechanics and validation needs.
- Validate game responses, feature logic, state transitions, wins, multipliers, and edge cases.
- Execute and analyse large simulation samples to ensure game mathematical output matches the official game logic document/spec.
- Analyse failed automation runs and identify the real source of the issue.
- Improve the speed, efficiency, reliability, maintainability, and reporting of the automation framework.
- Collaborate with QA, developers, math/game teams, and product stakeholders.
- Help define test coverage for new games and features.
- Previous experience in Automation testing (required).
- Strong technical knowledge in Node.js, Git and JSON (required).
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail (required).
- Knowledge of QA principles, testing methodologies, and bug reporting (required).
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment (required).
- Experience investigating whether failures come from the product, test logic, framework, or integration layer (required).
- Experience optimising high-volume simulation speed and performance (required).
- iGaming, casino, or slot game testing experience (nice-to-have).
- Experience with game mechanics such as free spins, respins, multipliers, jackpots, bonus features, game states, or choice-based flows (nice-to-have).
