Senior QA Automation Engineer
You will be part of a newly created, autonomous QA team led by experienced professionals and consisting of newly hired QA Automation Engineers. The team operates independently, with direct guidance and mentorship from the MQA Lead.
- Create and maintain automated tests for games from a re-launched iGaming brand
- Work with an existing Java-based automation framework
- Adapt and extend the framework for new game mechanics and validation needs
- Validate game responses, feature logic, state transitions, wins, multipliers, and edge cases
- Execute and analyze large simulation samples to ensure game mathematical output matches the official game logic document/spec
- Analyze failed automation runs and identify the real source of the issue
- Improve the speed, efficiency, reliability, maintainability, and reporting of the automation framework
- Collaborate with QA, developers, math/game teams, and product stakeholders
- Help define test coverage for new games and features
- Senior-level expertise as an Automation QA Engineer, QA Automation Engineer, or SDET (required)
- Experience working with backend/service-level automation, not only UI automation (required)
- Experience with custom or internally built frameworks (required)
- Experience investigating whether failures come from the product, test logic, framework, or integration layer (required)
- Experience optimizing high-volume simulation speed and performance (required)
- Strong Java automation skills (required)
- Ability to debug, extend, and adapt existing frameworks (required)
- Strong API/backend testing knowledge (required)
- Ability to validate structured responses, especially JSON (required)
- Good understanding of test design, assertions, and edge-case validation (required)
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills (required)
- Git knowledge (required)
- Ability to read technical specifications and convert them into automated checks (required)
- Strong understanding of mathematical models and statistical distribution (required)
- Node.js knowledge is a plus (nice-to-have)
- iGaming, casino, or slot game testing experience is a strong plus (nice-to-have)
- Experience with game mechanics such as free spins, respins, multipliers, jackpots, bonus features, game states, or choice-based flows is a plus (nice-to-have)
