AI Product Senior Director

Description

FanDuel is seeking an AI Product Senior Director to lead product management in the agentic era. This role involves direct influence over the development of consumer-facing and enterprise AI solutions. The position moves beyond traditional product management tasks, requiring the leader to build alongside engineers using AI as a primary force multiplier. The successful candidate will prototype using modern tools, design evaluation systems, and treat the product management workflow as a system to be automated and improved.

As a senior director-level player-coach, the individual will own a high-leverage agentic product surface end-to-end while collaborating with product managers and designers across tech and commercial teams. The role involves mentoring and raising the bar for product management practices at FanDuel. The leader will manage a team of AI product managers who interface with business stakeholders, codify patterns for AI-era product management, and shape the discipline across the organisation.

Responsibilities
  • Mentor and coach AI product managers across the AI and wider product organisation through pairing, design reviews, written critique, prototype tear-downs, and a shared pattern library.
  • Supervise multiple AI product managers within the AI Engineering Organisation.
  • Own end-to-end delivery for one or more workstreams, including growth and marketing, customer experience, product innovation, and enterprise acceleration.
  • Manage strategy, roadmap, prioritisation, and outcomes for assigned workstreams.
  • Build working prototypes with Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, and modern agent frameworks.
  • Design and operate evaluation systems, including golden sets, offline evals, online experiments, drift and regression detection, and human-rater pipelines.
  • Define quantitative success metrics before shipping products.
  • Partner daily with business partners, FDEs, AI SWE pods, AI Platform, Trust and Safety, Responsible AI, and Legal teams.
  • Translate ambiguous business problems into agent-shaped solutions that respect regulatory and Responsible Gaming posture.
  • Set the standard for AI-native product management craft by maintaining documentation, building tooling for the product team, and pairing with other product managers on complex problems.
Requirements
  • 10-12+ years of product management experience (required)
  • 3+ years shipping AI and/or LLM-powered products in production (required)
  • Demonstrated fluency building with modern AI development tools, including prototypes, agents, evals, or MCP servers (required)
  • Strong technical depth, including comfort with reading and writing code, system design, and eval notebooks (required)
  • Working understanding of agentic infrastructure, including MCP, orchestration patterns, tool use, retrieval, context engineering, prompt evaluation, and runtime observability (required)
  • Track record operating as a player-coach, elevating peers and shaping practice without direct org-chart authority (required)
  • Demonstrated experience designing or operating evaluation systems for ML or LLM products at scale (required)
  • Sharp written communication skills with a bias toward artifacts like one-pagers, decision memos, RFCs, and postmortems (required)
Benefits
  • Health plans including fertility and family planning, mental health support, and fitness benefits
  • Generous paid time off (PTO and sick leave)
  • Annual bonus and long-term incentive opportunities
  • 401k with up to a 5% match
  • Commuter benefits
  • Pet insurance
  • Medical, vision, and dental insurance
  • Life and disability insurance
  • 14 paid company holidays
