Product Designer (All Levels)

Description

FanDuel is looking for exceptional Product Designers to join the Sportsbook product organisation. This role is kept open on a rolling basis to allow the company to bring on outstanding design talent as it is found. FanDuel hires across four levels, including Product Designer, Senior Product Designer, Lead Product Designer, and Principal UI Designer, placing each individual where they will have the greatest impact.

This position sits on the Sportsbook Product Design team, which owns the intersection of the FanDuel Sportsbook app and its customers. Designers partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, Research, Analytics, and other disciplines to understand customer needs, define success, and deliver customer-centred design from discovery through launch and optimisation. The company aligns designers with the biggest opportunities on the team based on their specific skills and fit.

Responsibilities
  • Own the delivery of design outcomes from problem framing through prototyping, implementation support, launch, and post-launch iteration.
  • Create intuitive user flows, wireframes, prototypes, visual designs, interaction details, and implementation documentation.
  • Explore multiple directions and make clear recommendations based on evidence, customer insight, trade-offs, and product impact.
  • Contribute to and evolve the design system by identifying gaps, proposing improvements, and designing scalable components or patterns.
  • Represent the voice of the customer through research, user feedback, analytics, and competitive analysis.
  • Lead discovery and experimentation, including usability testing, A/B tests, and design explorations, to de-risk initiatives and refine solutions.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions and validate hypotheses.
  • Define clear product direction and success metrics, connecting work to team and business priorities.
  • Track and report objectively on design impact and outcomes, and recommend pivots grounded in evidence.
  • Partner proactively with Product Management, Engineering, Research, Analytics, and other design disciplines to define goals and evaluate trade-offs.
  • Facilitate workshops, design critiques, and stakeholder conversations to drive clarity and alignment.
  • Build and maintain domain expertise on the product, market, and competitive landscape.
  • Apply AI-assisted workflows across discovery, ideation, prototyping, synthesis, and documentation, while evaluating outputs for accuracy, usability, and accessibility.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in product design or a closely related role (required).
  • A track record of shipping thoughtful, customer-centred products (required).
  • Strong craft skills across interaction design, visual design, systems thinking, prototyping, and accessibility (required).
  • Hands-on fluency with modern design practices, design thinking, and evidence-based decision making (required).
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to use research, analytics, and feedback to inform and validate design decisions (required).
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence without formal authority (required).
  • Deep customer empathy and a commitment to accessibility and inclusive design (required).
  • A strong sense of ownership, a bias toward execution, and comfort operating in ambiguity (required).

  • Experience in sports betting, iGaming, or another fast-moving, regulated consumer technology domain (nice-to-have).
  • Familiarity with front-end development concepts such as React Native, JavaScript, or component-based UI (nice-to-have).
Benefits
  • Health plans including programs for fertility and family planning, mental health support, and fitness benefits.
  • Generous paid time off and sick leave.
  • Annual bonus and long-term incentive opportunities based on performance.
