Senior DevOps Engineer
This position is part of the modernisation of FDJ United's sports betting platform. Initially designed to meet the challenges of the French market, this platform will gradually evolve to support FDJ United's international ambitions.
The ongoing transformation aims to sustainably improve the platform's functionality, performance, quality, delivery agility, and operational resilience, both on the frontend and backend.
Reporting to the DevOps Lead, the incumbent will work in close collaboration with the Back-End development, QA, Ops/SRE, Security, and Architecture teams. They will operate within a modern technical environment, comprising distributed platforms and critical services requiring a high level of automation and reliability.
Their objective is to design, implement, and evolve the tools, pipelines, and environments necessary for the reliable delivery of Back-End Sportsbook services, while contributing to the platform's automation, observability, and operational excellence.
- Develop, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines to improve the quality, speed, and reliability of deployments.
- Automate provisioning tasks and recurring operations to reduce manual interventions and improve team efficiency.
- Support development teams in their automation needs and in improving the delivery cycle.
- Optimise pipeline execution times and robustness to streamline production releases.
- Implement and improve supervision, monitoring, alerting, and observability tools.
- Participate in the analysis and resolution of technical incidents and contribute to the continuous improvement of operations.
- Develop and improve diagnostic, remediation, and incident recovery tools.
- Contribute to the industrialisation and standardisation of technical environments.
- Document practices and participate in the dissemination of DevOps best practices within teams.
- Apply and enforce security, compliance, and quality policies for the environments.
- Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent (required)
- Fluent English level (required)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE (required)
- Solid command of CI/CD tools and practices, Infrastructure as Code, Cloud, and automation (required)
- Good knowledge of systems, networks, security, and distributed architectures (required)
- Significant experience with monitoring, observability, and operations tools (required)
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues in critical environments (required)
- Good understanding of software lifecycle, release, and service availability challenges (required)
- Strong culture of quality, reliability, and continuous improvement (required)
- Experience gained on critical, high-availability platforms (nice-to-have)
