Within FDJ UNITED, the successful candidate will contribute to the modernisation of the Group's sports betting platform. This transformation aims to enhance the platform's performance, quality, resilience, delivery agility, and scalability, thereby supporting FDJ UNITED's international ambitions.

The role is part of a Product organisation structured into squads, where the candidate will join the Sportsbook teams and work in a high-volume distributed environment. They will collaborate daily with Product Owners, QA Managers, QA Engineers, DevOps, and Architects to design, develop, and optimise critical back-end services capable of handling significant traffic volumes and real-time constraints.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop critical back-end services capable of supporting high transactional volumes and demanding real-time constraints.
  • Develop high-performance, secure APIs, ensuring the robustness, maintainability, and scalability of delivered components.
  • Participate in technical architecture decisions, code reviews, and the continuous improvement of development practices.
  • Optimise the software development lifecycle, particularly through the adoption of AI-based tools and practices.
  • Ensure the integration of third-party systems (payment, KYC, fraud, PAM, digital vault, data) in compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
  • Guarantee data consistency and resilience within distributed architectures.
  • Write and maintain automated tests to secure evolutions and improve software quality.
  • Optimise service performance, particularly in terms of latency, resource consumption, and extreme load management.
  • Participate in incident analysis and resolution, and actively contribute to system stability.
  • Implement and improve observability measures, including logs, metrics, monitoring, and alerting.
  • Contribute to DevOps, CI/CD, and SRE practices to enhance the platform's operational efficiency.
  • Participate in reducing technical debt and continuously improving the application portfolio.
  • Document critical components and support the dissemination of technical best practices within teams.
Requirements
  • Higher education degree (Bac+5) in computer science or equivalent (required)
  • Fluent English level (required)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Back-End development (required)
  • Solid expertise in Java, distributed architectures, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures (required)
  • Good command of Kafka, microservices architectures, and critical transactional systems (required)
  • Experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases (required)
  • Solid understanding of performance, debugging, observability, and high availability issues (required)
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps environments (required)
  • Good knowledge of CI/CD, Cloud, and application security practices (required)
  • Experience in betting, wallet, customer account management, or event data sectors (nice-to-have)
  • Experience with platforms subject to strong real-time and availability constraints (nice-to-have)
