People Systems Analyst

Description

FDJ United is seeking an experienced People Systems Analyst with deep Workday expertise to join the team during a pivotal phase of growth. This role involves managing the configuration and administration of Workday HCM, supporting a tenant merge, and driving the next phase of the HCM roadmap. The analyst will be responsible for scaling the environment to support thousands of employees across multiple markets while ensuring system integrity and process efficiency.

This position requires a proactive individual who can partner with the Head of HRIS and various stakeholders to deliver practical, well-designed solutions. The role focuses on continuous improvement, automation, and the optimisation of workflows rather than simple maintenance. The successful candidate will play a key part in shaping how Workday functions across the business to support the needs of the People team and the wider organisation.

Responsibilities
  • Own the configuration and administration of Workday HCM, designing and building business processes, advising the People team, managers, and employees on best use of the system.
  • Support the post go-live optimisation of the Workday tenant merge, improving data integrity and process alignment across the combined environment.
  • Drive automation and process improvement, identifying opportunities to reduce manual effort and increase the efficiency of People Systems and workflows.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to gather requirements, analyse needs, and deliver practical, well-designed Workday solutions.
  • Manage the prioritisation and resolution of Workday fixes, enhancements, and day-to-day support queries in collaboration with the rest of the People Systems team.
  • Support bi-annual Workday releases, including impact assessment, sandbox testing, implementation, training, and communication to the business.
  • Champion system governance and security, maintaining appropriate Workday security configuration and ensuring data integrity across the platform.
  • Contribute to reporting capability, building and maintaining Workday reports to support People team insight and decision-making.
  • Support project delivery across Workday modules, from scoping and development through to testing, training, and go-live.
  • Ensure that you adhere to the Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) obligations for your role.
  • Identify and raise any non-compliance incidents promptly to your line manager.
  • Challenge processes, policies and projects that will negatively impact compliance within the Group.
  • Complete all mandatory compliance training assigned to you.
  • Reach out to the Compliance Teams if unsure of any of your compliance obligations or the requirements are unclear.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on Workday experience in a post go-live environment (required)
  • Strong functional knowledge across Workday modules including HCM, Absence, Benefits, Talent, Learning, and Time Tracking (required)
  • Solid understanding of Workday business process configuration, security, and reporting (required)
  • Experience gathering and translating business requirements into effective Workday solutions (required)
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and delivering to deadlines in a fast-paced environment (required)
  • Strong communicator, able to engage confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders (required)
  • A curious, improvement-focused mindset (required)
  • Experience supporting or delivering a Workday tenant merge or implementation (required)
  • Familiarity with EIBs, calculated fields, or Workday integrations at a functional level (required)
  • Understanding of HR processes and how they translate into system design (required)
  • Experience supporting Workday bi-annual releases, including sandbox testing and impact assessment (required)
