Description

FDJ United is seeking a Product Owner Middleware & API to join the Product Management Sportsbook team. This role is part of the internationalisation of the company's sports betting platform and focuses on managing a transverse scope that includes offer administration tools, APIs for web and mobile applications, and data flows with game engines.

The successful candidate will work closely with front-end, back-end, and product teams to ensure the coherence and quality of player journeys. The role involves managing the backlog for squads, streamlining dependencies between systems, and driving product evolutions while maintaining high standards for interfaces and deliverables.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the product backlog and prioritise features to maximise value for users and the business.
  • Write and refine technical user stories while integrating architecture, API, and data flow constraints.
  • Coordinate dependencies between front-end, back-end, and middleware teams to ensure consistent delivery.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies and support squads in achieving delivery objectives.
  • Coordinate with developers, designers, and QA teams to ensure the quality of deployed features.
  • Guarantee the quality of deliverables through functional validation and coordination of testing phases.
  • Analyse performance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in discovery activities, including competitor studies, user feedback analysis, and A/B testing.
  • Contribute to the structuring of product practices within the organisation.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Product Owner on complex digital products (required).
  • Solid mastery of backlog management and technical user story refinement (required).
  • Strong knowledge of API and architecture to understand and challenge data flow and service interface issues (required).
  • Proficiency in agile tools such as Jira and Confluence (required).
  • Current usage of AI tools (required).
  • Excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between technical and business teams (required).
  • Fluent English (required).
  • Technical background (nice-to-have).
  • Experience in the sports betting sector (nice-to-have).
