Senior Security Analyst
FDJ United is seeking a Senior Security Analyst to protect the assets of its Online Betting and Gaming Business Unit through monitoring, detection, and response.
The role involves performing research and analysis of log sources from security and networking devices to detect sophisticated cyber threats. It also includes conducting threat hunting, developing and refining detection content across SIEM, IDS/IPS, and other security technologies, and optimising SIEM operations.
The analyst will develop reports and dashboards, contribute to improvements in the Security Operations framework, and develop security event enrichment techniques. They will also design triage playbooks, participate in incident response activities, and manage projects to enhance SOC capabilities.
Furthermore, the role requires monitoring intelligence sources for emerging cyber threats, developing and improving documentation related to security event logging and monitoring processes, and communicating with stakeholders. The analyst will also develop automated pipelines for detection, triage, and response within the team's SOAR.
- Protect FDJ United's Online Betting and Gaming Business Unit's assets through monitoring, detection and response.
- Perform research and analysis of log sources originating from security and networking devices, such as firewalls, routers, proxy servers, anti-virus products, and operating systems to detect and respond to sophisticated cyber threats.
- Conduct threat hunting and perform analysis of raw data to identify advanced malicious activities for which standard signatures or content do not yet exist.
- Develop and refine detection content across SIEM, IDS/IPS, and other security technologies, ensuring scalability and effectiveness in detecting emerging threats.
- Optimise SIEM operations and integrate with other security technologies, enhancing overall SOC performance.
- Develop reports and dashboards, providing actionable insights for SOC leadership and key stakeholders.
- Proactively contribute to and drive improvements in the overall Security Operations framework, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and emerging threat landscapes.
- Develop security event enrichment techniques and processes to enhance threat detection and response efficiency, most notably using threat intelligence datasets.
- Design and maintain comprehensive, detailed triage playbooks that support SOC Analysts during high-priority incidents.
- Participate in complex incident response activities, particularly in the analysis, containment, and recovery phases.
- Manage and contribute to projects that enhance the maturity and capabilities of the SOC, aligning with organisational security objectives.
- Monitor intelligence sources in order to maintain situational awareness of the ways to detect emerging cyber threats.
- Develop, maintain, and continually improve documentation related to security event logging, monitoring processes, and detection strategies.
- Communicate regularly with key stakeholders to ensure that security event monitoring requirements are understood, met, and continuously refined.
