Sportsbook Planning Specialist
FDJ United is looking for a Sportsbook Planning Specialist to join the Trading Operations department. Reporting to the Sportsbook Event Planning Manager, this role manages the operational aspects of live scheduling, the manual and automated creation of events, and bet settlements in accordance with local regulations and agreed procedures.
The successful candidate will be responsible for proactively resolving operational issues, documenting key processes, and monitoring feed quality to ensure a high-quality experience for players. This position requires working a variable shift pattern that includes days, evenings, weekends, and public holidays to meet business needs.
- Manual and automated creation of markets in accordance with local compliance regulations and agreed SLAs, ensuring that all criteria and description is managed correctly.
- Monitoring of start/closing times in real time and alerts to ensure optimized efficiency.
- Continuously monitoring feed quality and proactively ensuring best feed selection for fastest live data.
- Responsible in settling markets both manually and automatically and resolve conflicts that might arise in line with agreed process and guidelines.
- Collaborating closely and aligning with stakeholders in the Control & Compliance team to ensure that event markets comply with different regulations and integrity.
- Responsible in building live scheduling rotations and assignments in line with the Sporting calendar to ensure that resource is well planned and that we maintain 24/7 coverage.
- Responsible in creating and maintaining detailed process guidelines and documentation that will help the team to ensure that correct process is applied at all times.
- Proactively investigate and resolve any operational issues (live scheduling/settlements/event creation) in a timely manner, escalating where appropriate.
- Resolving escalations such as bet resettlements, voided bets, feed quality, in play trading conflicts etc.
- Work a variable shift pattern including evenings, weekends and public holidays to meet the needs of the business.
- Previous experience in a similar operational role within Sportsbetting (required)
- Knowledge of the Sporting calendar (required)
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and under pressure to strict timelines/deadlines (required)
- Excellent problem solving skills, with an ability to use own initiative in dealing with operational problems (required)
- Excellent attention to detail and highly organised (required)
- Can work to a good standard in key "Office " tools (Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Onedrive) (required)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (required)
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal, is essential (required)
