People Director
Flutter International is seeking a People Director to lead the local HR and General Services function in Tirana, Albania. As a key member of the leadership team, the role involves partnering directly with the General Manager to drive people priorities and translate the group people strategy into the local context.
The successful candidate will oversee the full HR lifecycle, including workforce planning, talent acquisition, performance management, and labor relations. Additionally, the role encompasses the management of General Services, Health, Safety and Environment, and the Communication team to ensure a safe, modern, and well-aligned working environment.
- Lead the local HR and General Services function as a member of the leadership team.
- Partner directly with the General Manager on people priorities.
- Translate the group people strategy into the Albanian reality while collaborating with Corporate HR Competence Centres in Italy.
- Own the full HR cycle on the ground: workforce planning and budgeting, talent acquisition, onboarding, learning and development, performance management, compensation, disciplinary matters, labor litigation, union and labor relations, and external partnerships.
- Oversee General Services and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), making sure people work in a safe, modern, and well-run environment.
- Lead and coordinate the Communication team, ensuring internal and external messages reflect who Flutter International is and where it's going.
- Several years of experience in international, structured environments and start-up settings (required).
- Strong leadership skills and ability to act as a role model (required).
- Skilled in influencing and building effective relationships (required).
- Degree in Economics or Humanities (required).
- Fluent in both Italian and English (required).
- Proficient in using Human Capital Management software (required).
- Strong ethical approach and professional integrity (required).
- Proactive, flexible, innovative, and determined mindset (required).
- Capable team leader and team player who fosters collaboration and empowers team members (required).
- Act as a coach and mentor for both team members and stakeholders (required).
- Skilled in active listening and committed to supporting and caring for people within the organization (required).
- Experienced HR Business Partner with expertise in managing the full employee lifecycle, from hiring to retirement (required).
- A facilitator, influencer, business partner, and problem solver who supports decision-making processes (required).
- Data-driven with strong analytical capabilities (required).
- Previous experience working with Italian companies (preferred).
