Trading Operations Associate
Flutter UK & Ireland is looking for an Operations Associate to join the team on a part-time basis. This entry-level role involves working three shifts per week, covering evenings and weekends. The position offers an opportunity to gain experience within the sports betting and iGaming industry while developing technical and analytical skills.
Traders at Flutter UK & Ireland are responsible for the odds provided to customers. The team utilises statistics, in-house models, industry news, and professional insights to solve problems, manage risks, and power performance across various sporting events. Associates work as part of the UK&I Risk team to monitor customer activity in real time and retrospectively, assessing future value and adjusting risk exposure accordingly.
- Help deliver sports betting experiences to customers.
- Work with colleagues to create fresh betting options for over 1 million customers.
- Approach challenges strategically to improve the betting experience and manage risk.
- Engage with sports and work with odds and pricing for multiple sports.
- Gain exposure to technical applications and analytics to sharpen problem-solving abilities.
- Monitor sports customer activity in real time and retrospectively.
- Assess the future value of customers and adjust risk exposure accordingly.
- Analytical skills and the ability to think critically and solve problems using data (required).
- Excel experience (preferred).
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in trading tasks (required).
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines (required).
- Communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across departments (required).
