Associate Lead, Owned Media Operations
The Associate Lead, Owned Media Operations is responsible for the end-to-end execution, delivery, reporting, and optimisation of advertising campaigns within Google Ad Manager. This role supports the reliability and commercial performance of the organisation's owned websites, applications, advertising inventory, and proprietary first-party data operations.
This is a senior individual-contributor role that combines hands-on platform expertise, analytical judgment, cross-functional coordination, and operational ownership. The role works closely with Customer Success, Media Buying, Business Intelligence, Product, Advertising Operations, and Technical teams across multiple regions to translate campaign objectives into accurate setups, proactive optimisations, actionable reporting, and dependable operational outcomes.
- Configure, traffic, quality-assure, launch, and maintain direct-sold, programmatic, sponsorship, and other supported campaigns in Google Ad Manager, ensuring alignment with commercial commitments and approved campaign requirements.
- Implement and validate orders, line items, creatives, targeting, custom key-values, frequency caps, tracking pixels, priorities, inventory assignments, and related delivery controls.
- Perform detailed pre-launch and post-launch QA covering creative rendering, click behaviour, tags, tracking, targeting, inventory mapping, platform permissions, naming, and reporting readiness.
- Monitor pacing, delivery, impressions, viewability, click-through rate, revenue, utilisation, and other relevant indicators; make practical adjustments to line-item settings, priorities, allocations, targeting, frequency, and inventory to meet campaign and business goals.
- Investigate and resolve campaign discrepancies, ad-serving failures, creative issues, targeting conflicts, tracking gaps, delivery limitations, and data inconsistencies across Google Ad Manager, SSPs, ad servers, websites, applications, and third-party technologies.
- Build, maintain, automate, and quality-assure dashboards and recurring reports in Sigma or similar BI platforms, supplementing them with Google Ad Manager exports where required.
- Analyze delivery, pacing, viewability, CTR, revenue, fill rate, eCPM, inventory utilisation, and historical trends; translate findings into clear recommendations for Account Management, Sales, Media Buying, and operational stakeholders.
- Maintain consistent campaign naming, key-value taxonomies, tagging standards, inventory structures, and metadata so that downstream reporting remains accurate, scalable, and filterable.
- Evaluate inventory and revenue performance across direct and programmatic demand, support forecasting and availability assessments, and identify opportunities to improve fill rate, pricing, CPMs, allocation, and overall yield in collaboration with relevant commercial and yield stakeholders.
- Support first-party data operations, including audience intake, naming, validation, synchronisation, refresh scheduling, platform distribution, access controls, and delivery confirmation, while maintaining appropriate data quality and governance standards.
- Partner with Customer Success, Media Buying, Business Intelligence, Product, Advertising Operations and Technical teams, and external technology providers to clarify requirements, communicate risks, resolve escalations, and support successful campaign delivery.
- Serve as a primary operational contact for the owners and representatives of websites and applications managed by the team; build trusted working relationships, clarify requirements, communicate campaign and inventory performance, manage expectations, coordinate issue resolution, and provide proactive recommendations that support successful long-term partnerships.
- Act as a subject-matter resource for complex Google Ad Manager, inventory, delivery, reporting, and first-party data matters; support standards, documentation, training, and operational improvements across the team without assuming formal people-management responsibilities.
