Product Marketing Manager, Advertising & Engagement

Description

Genius Sports is evolving from a technology and services business into a more product-led organisation. Within Advertising & Engagement, that means helping the market understand the breadth and value of its advertising portfolio - from official live data and fan identity to real-time activation products like Genius Sports Moments.

This is one of the fastest-moving parts of the business, with the Moment Engine now integrating with partners representing roughly 90% of the programmatic advertising ecosystem, and adoption accelerating around tentpole moments like the Super Bowl, the NBA Finals and the FIFA World Cup.

Genius Sports is looking for a Product Marketing Manager, Advertising & Engagement to help shape, launch and grow its advertising technology portfolio. This is a high-impact role within one of Genius Sports' most strategically important and fastest-growing business areas, working closely with Product, Marketing, Commercial and Revenue teams to bring complex advertising products to market in a clear, compelling and commercially effective way.

This role is ideal for a B2B product marketer who enjoys turning complex technology into sharp positioning, clear sales narratives and practical go-to-market plans. The successful candidate will support the Advertising & Engagement marketing leadership while owning important workstreams across product launches, sales enablement, customer insight, product adoption and market positioning.

The role will play a central part in helping Genius Sports tell a stronger Advertising & Engagement story: not just as a trusted provider of official sports data, but as the execution layer connecting live sports data directly to real-time advertising activation - helping brands, agencies, broadcasters and platforms move from scheduled campaigns to always-on, moment-driven advertising.

Responsibilities
  • Develop clear, differentiated positioning and messaging for Genius Sports' Advertising & Engagement products, translating technical capabilities into customer-centric value propositions.
  • Build messaging frameworks that help Product, Commercial and Marketing teams consistently explain what its products do, who they are for, why they matter and how they compare in market.
  • Help sharpen Genius Sports' advertising narrative around real-time activation, official data, fan identity and AI-powered decisioning - shifting the category conversation from scheduled media to moment-driven engagement.
  • Own and support GTM plans for key Advertising & Engagement product launches, releases and strategic packages, including new capabilities, integrations and partnerships.
  • Work with Product, Commercial and Marketing teams to define target audiences, customer pain points, launch objectives, timelines, KPIs, sales motions, collateral needs and campaign requirements.
  • Sequence launches and campaigns against the global sports calendar, supporting major product and market moments including tentpole events like the Super Bowl, NBA Finals and FIFA World Cup, new season activity, and flagship industry events such as NewFronts.
  • Create foundational sales enablement materials that help Commercial teams confidently sell complex advertising and engagement products.
  • Work with the Sales Marketing team to build sales decks, one-pagers, battlecards, product narratives, FAQs, internal briefings and training materials for audiences including brands, agencies, broadcasters, SSPs and demand platforms.
  • Run product training and enablement sessions for Commercial teams, ensuring sales teams understand new products, releases, positioning and proof points.
  • Partner with Commercial stakeholders to understand barriers to adoption or deal progression, then create tools and messaging that help overcome them.
  • Build a strong understanding of advertisers, agencies, broadcasters, programmatic platforms, market trends and the competitive landscape across sports adtech.
  • Conduct and synthesise customer interviews, sales feedback, surveys and market research to inform product positioning, messaging and GTM strategy.
  • Act as a customer and market voice within the Marketing team, helping ensure campaigns and collateral reflect real advertiser and agency needs and buying drivers.
  • Improve how new Advertising & Engagement products, features and releases are communicated internally and externally.
  • Work with Product and Commercial teams to ensure important product updates, including expanding Moment Engine integrations, are understood, adopted and commercialised effectively.
  • Support stronger customer education and product utilization by creating clearer communications, launch materials and adoption-focused messaging.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Genius Sports' Advertising & Engagement portfolio, where products create value, how they are sold, and how they compare to competitors.
  • Build strong relationships across Product, Marketing, Commercial, Revenue, Data and Partnerships teams.
  • Contribute upstream in the product development process by helping shape target audiences, value propositions, product packaging, naming, messaging, and launch readiness.
  • Help build a stronger repository of case studies, customer proof points, product performance stories, and launch reports - including brand recall and campaign performance evidence from real-time activation.
  • Work with Marketing, Product and Commercial teams to identify customer success stories and turn them into compelling collateral, campaign content and thought leadership.
  • Support post-launch and post-event reporting to show product impact, customer adoption, and commercial value.
Requirements
  • 3–5 years' experience in B2B product marketing, product-led marketing, commercial marketing, or a related role (required).
  • Experience working in adtech, martech, programmatic advertising, media, fan engagement or sports technology (required).
  • A strong storyteller who can simplify complex products and turn technical detail into clear, commercially compelling messaging (required).
  • Experience developing product positioning, value propositions, launch plans, sales collateral and enablement materials (required).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to present to internal teams and act as a product evangelist (required).
  • Commercially minded, with an understanding of how marketing supports revenue, product adoption, and customer growth (required).
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Marketing and Revenue teams (required).
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple workstreams across launches, campaigns, and stakeholder groups (required).
  • Curious, proactive, and comfortable getting into the detail of technical products, customer needs and market dynamics (required).
Benefits
  • The annualized base salary for this role ranges from $120,000 to $160,000 USD.
  • Eligibility for additional variable compensation and equity.
  • Eligibility to take part in Genius Sports Group's benefits plan.
  • Support for employee wellbeing and helping employees grow their skills, experience and career.
