Risk & Insurance Manager

Description

As the Risk & Insurance Manager, you will help protect and strengthen global operations by leading operational risk, business continuity, and insurance management. Working closely with the Operations Leadership Team and the Chief Risk Officer, you will identify risks, improve resilience, and ensure the business is well prepared for growth.

This is a varied role where you will influence how the company manages risk, responds to incidents, and continuously improves the way it operates across Genius Sports.

Responsibilities
  • Lead operational risk management across the Operations function, maintaining risk registers, controls and mitigation plans.
  • Monitor risk exposure, report on emerging risks and provide clear insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Support the Group's enterprise risk framework by ensuring operational risks are accurately represented in governance and reporting.
  • Lead business continuity planning, incident management and post-incident reviews to strengthen operational resilience.
  • Manage the Group's global insurance programme, including renewals, broker relationships, claims management and policy compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement through risk reviews, training, scenario testing and practical recommendations that reduce operational risk.
Requirements
  • Experience in operational risk, enterprise risk, business continuity or insurance management (required).
  • Strong understanding of risk frameworks, governance and control environments (required).
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders and communicating complex risks in a clear, practical way (required).
  • Experience managing incidents and driving actions across multiple teams (required).
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities (required).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement (required).
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to build trusted relationships across the business (required).
  • Experience managing global corporate insurance programmes (nice-to-have).
  • Experience working in a fast-paced technology or international business (nice-to-have).
  • Experience supporting audits, scenario planning or operational resilience exercises (nice-to-have).

  • The monthly salary for this full-time role ranges from €4000 to €5000 gross.
