Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure Platform
Genius Sports is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help lead critical initiatives for its core infrastructure platform. The company is currently aligning its various technical teams and acquisitions under a unified strategy, with the infrastructure platform serving as the foundation for this transition.
The goal of this role is to enable engineering teams to build, deploy, and operate the extensive product catalog of Genius Sports in a consistent and cohesive manner. The successful candidate will join the InfraPlat team to lead and implement technical initiatives, including multi-account and multi-region Kubernetes clusters, MLOps, standardised deployments, and a company-wide authentication platform.
In this position, the engineer will engage with stakeholders from product engineering teams to scope requests, identify shared pain points within the organisation, and prioritise key initiatives.
- Lead and implement technical initiatives for various infrastructure projects.
- Develop and manage multi-account and multi-region Kubernetes clusters.
- Implement MLOps and standardised deployment processes.
- Contribute to the development of a company-wide authentication platform.
- Engage with stakeholders from product engineering teams to scope requests and identify shared pain points.
- Prioritise infrastructure initiatives based on organisational needs.
- Mentor team members to maximise their potential.
- 6+ years of experience building software and operating platforms (required).
- Experience building applications and automations to eliminate toil for engineering teams (required).
- Understanding of developer experience and how to magnify the output of engineers across the organisation (required).
- Strong communication skills to drive platform adoption (required).
- Passion for mentorship and upleveling the team (required).
- Experience developing agentic environments and harnessing (nice-to-have).
- Experience with Rust in production (nice-to-have).
- History of open source contribution (nice-to-have).
