Sports Data Operations Analyst – Recruitment & Training
Genius Sports is looking for a Sports Data Operations Analyst – Recruitment & Training to join the team in Sofia, Bulgaria. The role involves implementing procedures for a centralised and uniform approach to the recruitment and training of statisticians.
The successful candidate will ensure that recruitment practices and training materials remain up-to-date while actively guiding statisticians through their onboarding phase. Additionally, the analyst will oversee the performance of statisticians through match re-checks and data analysis to maintain high standards of quality.
- Manage recruitment & hiring processes – Post and maintain job ads, take part in the recruitment process, and coordinate candidates’ applications.
- Oversee onboarding – Create user profiles, manage platform access, and guide new statisticians through their first steps.
- Coordinate training – Organize and monitor training sessions, testing, and match rechecks to ensure readiness and accuracy.
- Maintain training resources – Develop, update, and standardize all training materials and documentation.
- Monitor quality and performance – Analyze onboarding efficiency, check data quality, and ensure compliance with procedures.
- Excellent English communication – You write and speak clearly, confidently, and professionally (required).
- Tech and data proficiency – Skilled in Google Tools, MS Office (required).
- Analytical mindset – You approach problems logically and use data to guide improvements (required).
- Strong interpersonal skills & Calm under pressure – You enjoy collaborating and stay organized and effective when handling multiple priorities (required).
- Organized and proactive – You plan ahead, take initiative, and deliver on deadlines (required).
- Passion for sport – You have knowledge of the rules and gameplay of Football, Basketball, Volleyball, and/or other sports, supporting your understanding of our work (required).
- Power BI experience is a plus (nice-to-have).
- Training and facilitation – Experience developing or delivering training programs (nice-to-have).
- Recruitment analytics – Understanding how to evaluate recruitment and onboarding performance (nice-to-have).
- Data visualization – Familiarity with Power BI or similar tools for reporting insights (nice-to-have).
